Rocker Pete Doherty is set to go on tour with his band, Babyshambles, only months after their ambitious arena tour left them broke. Pete, 28, and his bandmates are believed to have lost thousands of dollars after playing eight big venues late last year, including a half-empty opening night at Manchester's MEN Arena.
Pete's rep, however, denied reports that the band lost money on the gigs, but insiders claim they're doing a theater tour so soon to make up for a shortfall.
The source said: "Paying their support acts, hiring articulated lorries for their gear and staff costs have left them at a loss.
"On their next tour they will stick to the smaller venues they are used to filling out."
A spokesman for the band confirmed: "Babyshambles are going on tour this year - it's something they have been planning for a while."
