Filming of Michelle Williams's new movie has been delayed while the devastated actress copes with Heath Ledger's death.
The former Dawson's Creek star was set to start shooting Blue Valentine - a relationship drama centered around a young couple struggling with their marriage - next month.
But the tragedy has frozen the schedule and bosses say they're happy to wait until she's back to form.
Williams was married to Ledger for two years and the couple had a two-year-old daughter Matilda. "We will hold off until she is ready," says a source connected with the film.
"The production is in the process of sorting it out in respect to her."
The new flick also stars Ryan Gosling, who Williams was rumored to be dating after they were spotted strolling together in New York before Christmas.
Production was set to start on February 25, but has been moved back indefinitely. "We're hoping she will still come back and do the film and are happy to wait," the source says.
"The film is tailor made for those two so of course we would want to wait. You can't get much better than them."
Williams had just finished shooting her last scene in the film Mammuth, in Sweden, when she received the heartbreaking news earlier this month.
Tests are still being carried out to find out what killed the Brokeback Mountain star. It's now thought the 28-year-old may have died from a heart attack.
