Singer Marie Osmond is getting her own Oprah-style talk show in the US.
The TV personality - who recently appeared on hit celebrity reality contest Dancing With The Stars - will debut The Marie Osmond Show in late 2009.
Osmond, 48, said: "I've always wanted to do a show for women that would offer them a safe place to have some fun and get vital information.
"'Marie' will truly reflect my personality - funny, sometimes serious and never predictable."
Osmond, who shot to fame with her singing siblings in the 1970s previously starred in "The Donny & Marie Show" with her brother.
"Marie Osmond is unique in this industry," said Josh Raphaelson of Program Partners, the company that will produce the new hour-long show. "She is a star with an authenticity that makes her relate-able to every woman in America."
"Marie is a true original," said Ritch Colbert of Program Partners in a statement.
"And 'Marie' the series will be every bit as much a winner as she is. This is the kind of project that stations have been waiting for, for a very long time."
