Paul Burrell arrives back in the UK for Princess Diana inquest

Paul BurrellFormer Royal butler Paul Burrell has arrived back in the UK to appear at Princess Diana's inquest on Monday.

Before leaving his Florida home on Saturday, the ex-servant was spotted giving instructions to his gardeners to keep his "little palace in the sun" ship shape while he's away.

And it looks like his new life by the sea is suiting him just fine - he donned a casual shorts and T-shirt combo for the flight from Orlando to Manchester.

But he'll swap his beach gear for a more somber suit and tie for the formal hearing - and the chances are he won't be wearing his flashy diamond earring either.

Burrell - once described by Diana as her "rock" - arrived back on British soil today and is set to appear at the Royal Courts of Justice Monday morning. He promises to be a key and explosive witness, with friends claiming he will blow the hearing wide open, with a string of shocking revelations.

The jury has already been told Burrell had had 'unrivalled' access to Diana and could shed light on a series of unanswered questions. He will be asked about the background to a letter in which Diana wrote that Prince Charles was planning to have her killed.

But he will also face pressure to provide further details about his own claim that the Queen once warned him about "dark forces" at work in the country. The married father-of-two is making America his permanent home since getting a Green Card.

His family have left their quaint Cheshire home behind as they settle down to their new life in the house Burrell bought with the proceeds of his books of betrayal about his former boss.
