Lily Allen isn't going to let her recent miscarriage derail her plans for the perfect family - the pint-sized British pop icon is set to try for another baby with her 'Chemical Brother' boyfriend Ed Simons, 37. A friend of the 'Smile' singer, 22, said that Lily and Ed are planning to start trying for another baby as soon as Lily's doctor gives her the "all clear." The singer is "devastated and still in a state of shock, but she has spoken to her doctor and told him that she wants to try to get pregnant again straight away."
The friend added to PageSix.com: "Lily is at home taking it all in and just wants to rest. Her doctor had told her that she needs to wait at least two to three months in order to heal, but because she is a young and healthy girl, she should have no problem conceiving then."
The good news "has lifted Lily's spirits," added the friend.
The singer - daughter of Brit actor Keith Allen - has been desperate for a child all her adult life and recently told Harpers Bazaar magazine, "I definitely have got my eye on the prize, which is having kids and getting married and cooking dinner and doing homework with my children.”
The singer - whose hits include Smile, LDN and Littlest Things, is currently in the studio recording her second album. It was scheduled for release in April, but insiders now reveal that it has been delayed while Lily gets herself "back on track."
The singer has been comforted by her father Keith and brother Alfie, who have been by her side since the unfortunate incident occurred.
