J.K. Rowling to be key speaker at Harvard graduation ceremony

J.K. ROWLINGHarry Potter author J.K. Rowling will be the key speaker at this year's Harvard University's graduation ceremony.

Rowling was invited to speak at the 375th ceremony of one of the world's most prestigious university's because of the image she has had on young readers.

"Perhaps no one in our time has done more than J.K. Rowling to inspire young people to experience the excitement and the sheer joy of reading," Harvard President Drew Faust.

The graduation is on June 5.

Jonathan Byrnes, president of the Harvard Alumni Association, added: "There are countless Harry Potter devotees throughout the Harvard family, and we look forward to warmly welcoming one of the world's best-read authors to our commencement festivities."
