Johnny Depp asks Carol Vorderman to help him find a school for his children

Hollywood heart-throb Johnny Depp - who recently bought a plush new home in the English countryside, is now looking for local schools to educate his children – and has turned to an excellent source for advice, brainbox TV presenter Carol Vorderman.

The Sweeney Todd star was introduced to the 47-year-old Countdown presenter - who has an IQ of 154, by a mutual friend and explained he wants to send eight-year-old daughter Lily Rose and son Jack, six, to good schools close to the $2.6million mansion he is renovating near Bath.

"Johnny met Carol after he bought a home right by her own," a source told Britain's Daily Mail newspaper.

"They have met up a few times and their kids get along well. He is set on sending the children to British schools.

"Carol's [children] go to Clifton College in Bristol and Johnny may check it out."

Depp fell in love with the UK since making the film Chocolat, he bought an old hunting lodge near Carol's retreat, for which she paid $2million last year.
