New details on the cocktail of drugs found near the body of Heath Ledger have emerged. Police officers discovered bottles of the generic forms of Xanax and Valium, both anti-anxiety drugs, prescribed to Ledger in the Manhattan apartment, the New York Post reports.
They also found the sleeping pill Ambien near his body, law enforcement insiders tell the paper.
On a nightstand next to his bed, police found a bottle of Donormyl, an antihistamine that can be used as a sleep aid.
They also found a packet of the drug Zopiclone, which is used to combat insomnia.
Ledger was discovered by his maid Therese Solomon, 56, and his masseuse Diane Lee, 40, with whom he had a 3pm appointment at the $23,000-a-month loft.
The two women entered his room at the apartment at 3.20pm for a scheduled massage and found him naked, lying face down and unresponsive, police sources tell the Post.
An autopsy will now be held by the New York Medical Examiner to determine the cause of death.
NYPD insiders tell the Post that they do not believe that Ledger committed suicide. "It does not appear to be a suicide," one source told the Post.
