The controversial plastic surgeon who operated on rap superstar Kanye West's mum before she died says his practice has been "almost destroyed" by bad publicity. Dr Jan Adams told how the fall-out from Donda West's death has hit his business "horribly".
But he told America's 'Larry King Live' show he has no plans to give up performing surgery.
Donda, 58, died at an LA hospital in November, a day after undergoing breast reduction, tummy tuck and liposuction procedures.
A coroner's report said the exact cause of death was not clear. It said she most probably died from a heart attack.
The coroner found no sign of "surgical or anaesthetic misadventure".
Dr Adams, who was accompanied on the TV show by an attorney, said patient privilege means he can't discuss the West case in detail.
He said: "The autopsy said what I expected."
The surgeon had enjoyed a high profile and had appeared as an expert on several US TV shows before the West tragedy.
But he came under fire after it emerged he is not Board Certified with the American Board of Plastic Surgery
Dr Adams walked of Larry King in November, saying the West family had asked him at the last-minute not to go ahead with a planned interview.
