Gwyneth Paltrow was rushed to hospital because of a stomach problem, a friend has revealed. Celebrity chef Mario Batali said the Shakespeare in Love actress was fine following last week's medical drama. He said: "She's [doing] great."
He told a US magazine: "[She had] a little gastrointestinal situation.
"It's now been straightened out."
Witnesses claimed to have seen the actress in a wheelchair being pushed into the Mount Sinai Hospital by Coldplay rocker husband, Chris Martin last Monday.
She spent the night there before going home the following day.
Her hospitalization sparked rumours she was pregnant with the couple's third child. The couple already has two children, Apple, three, and one-year-old Moses.
Martin got into a clash with photographers as they left, which was caught on video camera.
Oscar-winner Paltrow, 35, has teamed up with Batali for an upcoming cooking show on US network PBS, in which they journey around Spain sampling local cusine.
A spokesman for Paltrow was unavailable for comment today.
