The singer, who has had recent brushes with the law and drugs after being found slumped at the wheel of his car, is reinventing his career with a fun guest spot on a new US TV show.
After a hilarious guest appearance in the Extras finale alongside Ricky Gervais, the former Wham star is now starring in the new show Eli Stone.
The bizarre Ally McBeal-type drama is about Jonny Lee Miller's character, Stone, a lawyer who thinks he might be a prophet.
Miller takes a leaf out of his ex-wife Angelina Jolie's book by appearing semi-nude on screen.
And as he is seen prancing around half-naked his character is worried because George Michael is performing in his front room.
In one scene, a half-naked Stone leaps off the woman he is making love to and screams: "Can you hear the music?"
He gets really excited, points at her and shouts: "George Michael. That's it." Miller, 35, then runs into his living room and sees the pop star singing his Eighties hit song Faith. Within moments the confused attorney faints, falling backwards.
In another scene Eli Stone complains to his doctor: "I can't be fine. George Michael is in my living room."
The trailer also shows Miller dancing to Faith while George Michael performs in the lobby of his office building.
When he's not doing that he's running down the street being chased by a small plane or dodging an ocean wave while fully dressed in a suit.
It's clear that his work colleagues think Stone is a bit bizarre as one woman replies when he tells her that he hears music: "Who is it this time? Cyndi Lauper?"
This is a high-profile role for Miller who is yet another British actor starring in a US TV series.
And, like fellow Brits Hugh Laurie of House and Michelle Ryan from the Bionic Woman, he has adopted an American accent for the role.
At a time when the Writers Guild of America's two-month strike has caused havoc on the US TV schedule, Miller's show is one of the few new episodes airing at the moment.
The series premieres on the ABC network on January 31.
