Unknown drugs found in Heath Ledger’s apartment

Heath LedgerPackets of an unknown drug and a $20 bill with drugs residue on it, were found in Heath Ledger's apartment, it has been claimed.

Police have already confirmed that they found prescription and non-prescription sleeping medication near Ledger's body.

Now U.S reports claim that investigators also discovered other narcotics, which have all been listed on the official police report taken at the scene.

"New evidence has surfaced in the investigation into the sudden and shocking death of Oscar-nominated actor Heath Ledger, who was found dead inside his SoHo apartment on Tuesday afternoon," WCBS.com reports.

"Sources close to the investigation tell CBS 2's Investigative Reporter Scott Weinberger that along with the prescription drugs that were found in the apartment, police also recovered a $20 bill with narcotic residue on it.

"Sources add they also found several drug packets containing an unknown substance. CBS 2 has learned these items were all listed on the official police report from the scene.

"To be clear, it's still unknown whether these items belonged to Ledger or whether he even actually ingested them."

WCBS says it has received no comment from the NYPD on their claims.

TMZ.com is also reporting that the bill is currently being tested by police.

"TMZ has confirmed with NYPD sources in the Heath Ledger investigation that cops found a $20 bill rolled up "in a certain way" with a powdered substance on it.

"Our sources say they don't know what the nature of the powder is, but it's being tested at the police lab."
