Paul McCartney's heart problems were allegedly a major source of conflict between him and estranged wife Heather Mills, according to US reports. The 65-year-old music legend reportedly came to blows with 39-year-old Heather over his failure to stop drinking after being diagnosed with a heart murmur, the New York Post has claimed.
It sparked a massive row in April 2006 - a month before they split - after Mills postponed a leg operation so he could undergo treatment. The former Beatle had surgery to open blocked arteries in September.
A source told the paper: "He was under strict instructions to stop drinking completely, which he didn't do."

The insider went on: "She focused on him first. He was abusing his body."
The couple are due in court next month over their divorce settlement.

She focused on him first, we all know that. She focused, her hostility, jealousy and anger on him. Nice try, sweetie. Always have to be the center of attention, she has to worm her way into every story about Paul.
