Rap star Sean 'Diddy' Combs has laughed off reports he has changed his name again. The singer-turned-mogul - who has had five different identities since he rose to fame - said he would be crazy if he came up with another moniker.
Combs, 38, said: "I'm not changing my name. I've been there, done that.
"My legal name is Sean Combs, [but] people call me Puffy, or Diddy or P. Diddy. It's just that my life is on blast, so people know about all my different names."
He told a New York newspaper: "If I change my name again, y'all can have me certified as crazy. Alright? "But I'm not crazy, so I won't change my name."
Combs, who has a fashion line called 'Sean John', has previously been nicknamed Puff Daddy, Puff, Puffy and P. Diddy, before shortening it to Diddy in 2005.
A spokesperson added: "Recent reports of a name change are totally false, he is still Diddy. He is currently in 'Sean John' mode as the upcoming Sean John fashion show is scheduled for February 8 in New York."
