Singer Jennifer Lopez is reportedly set to copy Tom Cruise's wife, Katie Holmes - by giving birth naturally, quiet, and free from painkillers - Scientology style! Katie - who gave birth to daughter Suri in October 2005, was forced to keep quiet during the birth - because of Scientology fanatic Cruise.
The 'Jenny From The Block' star, 38, and husband Marc Anthony are also keen followers of the religion, where it is believed that loud hospital environments, and doctor's shouts of 'push push' can have damaging effects on a newborn later in life, "The idea of silent birth is based on L. Ron Hubbard’s research into the mind and spirit. He found that words spoken during moments of pain and unconsciousness can have adverse effects on an individual later in life," the Scientology website states. "What has been said during traumatic experiences such as birth records in a part of the mind called the reactive mind. These recordings store and have the power to influence a person by dictating thoughts, emotions and psychosomatic ills not under his control."
A pal of the Latino lovely told a US magazine: "Although she knows it will be hard not to scream, she understands why it will be good for the baby to have peace and quiet."
