Britney Spears' son Jayden James was taken to hospital for 'preventative reasons' following the stand-off at her house, according to reports. The one-year-old was examined by doctors after the star's latest meltdown, when she refused to hand her children over to ex-husband Kevin Federline and ended up being taken out of her home on a stretcher.
There had been reports the child was taken to hospital because of a bruise.
However, sources have reportedly told gossip website TMZ.com that Jayden had nothing apart from "normal scrapes and rashes little kids have".
According to the site, taking the child to hospital for evaluation is part of standard procedures following a protracted incident.
Spears herself is still being held in hospital, under a special order for her safety and that of those around her.
Following the incident, the troubled singer lost her visitation rights for her children as a court handed full custody to Federline.
