Is someone making an honourable woman out of Paris Hilton? The hotel heiress sparked rumours of an engagement when she showed off a huge rock on her wedding finger at the Sundance Film Festival.
"Paris was beaming," one onlooker said. "And the ring was enormous."
Hilton, 26, flashed the bling as she attended a private dinner party in Park City, Utah.
Wearing a blue, sparkly dress, the socialite smiled for photographers and held up her left hand as she entered the Leaf Lounge at Sundance.
"Everyone was talking about Paris's ring, wondering whether she was engaged," the onlooker said.
"There was no sign of a man with her, but she seemed keen to show off her new piece of jewellery.
"The rock was huge. It certainly looked like the stones had cost someone a few dollars."
Paris, accompanied by a group of girlfriends, left the private party and climbed into a waiting limousine.
The group blasted out music and danced away in the back as their petrified elderly chauffeur drove them along Main Street to a busy nightclub.
"Paris seemed like she was having a great time," the eyewitness said.
"She was blowing kisses to fans out of the window, singing to the tunes and dancing with her friends.
"The driver didn't know what had hit him. He was just staring in the rear view mirror watching the girls in amazement - he looked terrified.
"He has clearly never driven Paris Hilton around before."
