Midnight Celebrity: Britney Spears’ paparazzi boyfriend’s family go into hiding

The family of Britney Spears' alleged paparazzi boyfriend have gone into hiding.

Neighbours of Adnan Ghalib's parents say the stunned couple have moved out of their Birmingham home to escape the media frenzy.

The devout Muslims are said to be distraught by their son's actions.

Married Ghalib, 35, who has lived in the States for nine years, is more used to trailing Britney looking for photo ops than being hounded himself.

But he went from hunter to hunted when he got pally with the Toxic singer. And his family have felt the brunt of it.

They are rumoured to have left their terrace home in the Small Heath area for an unknown address in London.
Adnan's younger sister Aisha is also known to be hiding out in the capital.

Her brother-in-law, known only as Charlie, is staying in her semi-detached home just outside Birmingham city centre.

He said: "Aisha and her husband are staying in London and don't plan to return home until the fuss has died down.
"I've had lots of journalists knocking on the door but I've been asked not to reveal where they are staying."

Ghalib was raised in a close knit Muslim community. He was a student at Sheldon Heath Comprehensive School now known as Sheldon Heath Community Arts College and then left home to study at Luton University.

He is thought to have moved to the States in 1996.

A local shopkeeper, who did not want to be named, described his family as good people. He said: "The family have lived here for years and are well known in the community.

"Their son hasn't lived here for years but I was shocked to see his face on the front page of the newspaper.

"I recognised him instantly. He was a well known lad when he lived here."

A neighbour added: "The family are very friendly and always say hello in the street."

Charlie confirmed Ghalib's wife still lives in America.

The couple are now separated but lawyers for Federline, 29, are said to have launched an investigation into his immigration status.

Ghalib's parents are retired after selling a clothing business. A disabled parking space outside their home suggest one of them may be in ill health.

A woman living across the street said: "I've lived here for years and the Ghalibs have been here as long as I can remember. "They keep themselves to themselves and are really only close with their Muslim neighbours."

Spears went into hiding with Ghalib after leaving the hospital she was taken to on Friday following a stand-off at her Los Angeles home.

Police were called after the singer refused to hand back her children Sean Preston and Jayden James when staff of her ex-husband Kevin Federline arrived to pick the tots up.

After three hours of negotiations she emerged from her home strapped to a stretcher and was taken to hospital.

But within hours she had quit the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center to join Ghalib, reportedly claiming he was her only friend.

The pair were spotted looking cozy in Palm Desert on Sunday morning but since then it has been claimed that

Ghalib is trying to sell private photos of her and there are now reports that Britney has ditched the snapper.
Federline has been granted sole custody of the star's sons.
