Britney Spears failed to show for her re-scheduled deposition in her custody case with Kevin Federline, it has been reported.
Britney, 26, missed her original deposition date at Kevin Federline's attorney's office in November due to illness.
A new deposition date was set for the first week of January at an unknown location. But a celebrity website has claimed that Britney failed to appear again today.
It is believed the reason she failed to show for the deposition was because her lawyers filed court papers withdrawing as counsel.
The deposition was demanded to determine whether Britney misused alcohol and substances in front of her young children.
Back on December 12, Commissioner Scott Gordon agreed with Kevin Federline's attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, that the next hearing in the custody battle should be pushed back, so he can review the deposition to see what Britney says under oath.
The date was pushed back to February 23.
Now, because the deposition has still not been completed, the February 19 hearing date could be affected and maybe pushed back. It is not known when the next deposition date will be scheduled.
The law firm representing Britney, Trope and Trope, filed legal papers today asking to withdraw as her representatives in her custody battle with Kevin Federline.
It is the second time she has been ditched by her lawyers, after her previous attorney ,Laura Wasser withdrew from the case.
In legal papers released today, attorney Tara Scott of Trope and Trope wrote: "There has been a breakdown in communications between (Britney) and Trope and Trope making further representation of her interests impossible."
