This is the moment troubled singer Britney Spears was carried from her Los Angeles home on a stretcher. The 26-year-old was taken to hospital after a four-hour show down with police over the custody of her two children.
Police officers were called to her Beverly Hills home at 8pm last night after Spears refused to hand children Sean Preston and Jayden James back to ex-husband Kevin Federline.
Federline has been granted temporary custody of the boys because Spears has failed to comply with court orders.
Spears has limited visitation rights but refused to hand the children over to Federline's bodyguard when her scheduled time with the boys came to an end at 7pm.
Officials said no injuries had been reported but back up emergency vehicles were called two hours after the original call to police.
It has been reported that Spears was found under the influence of an unknown substance and is being held in hospital pending a psychiatric evaluation.
The children are thought to be back with Federline.
