
The 49-year-old 'Material Girl' singer - who recently announced the title of her next album, "Licorice," to be released in April next year, aims to re-release all her huge singles as downloads this year to celebrate her 50th birthday.
The singer - who recently signed a multi-million-dollar deal with concert promoter Live Nation, will her annoy her soon to be ex-label Warner, who want to make the most of her back catalog before she leaves them.
Madonna is also planning a massive gig in New York to mark the milestone, reports British newspaper The Sun.
Earlier this month it was announced that Madonna - who's married to 'Snatch' director Guy Richie, is to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame - the singer will join the likes of Led Zeppelin, Elvis Presley and John Lennon when she is given the coveted honor at the annual ceremony in New York on March 10 2008.
A panel of 600 music industry insiders selected the the singer for the prestigious accolade.
