Britney Spears is quite possibly the last person you'd turn to for advice - let alone parenting tips! - but that hasn't stopped her from giving her pregnant 16-year-old sister Jamie Lynn Spears an earful. The troubled 'Gimme More' star is furious that Jamie Lynn is pregnant at 16.
"I'm really disappointed in her," Britney fumed to a friend. "I told her over and over just to be a kid and let the adult things like sex and drinking and all that wait."
That's rich, coming from a lady - who has a heavily publicized problem with drugs & alcohol, and his currently embroiled in a bitter custody battle with her ex-husband.
Maybe she thinks jumping a red light with her children in the car, shaving her long hair off for no apparent reason and going knickerless in front of an army of paps qualifies her as an agony aunt. She told her pal: "I just can't believe she's pregnant. She is way too young to be a mum. She should be having fun and stuff, not having a baby."
In a million-dollar deal arranged by her mother, Lynn Spears, Jamie Lynn told America's OK! magazine she was 20 weeks pregnant with her 19-year-old boyfriend, Casey Aldridge's baby.
"I warned this girl, I really did," said Britney who gave birth to her first son Sean Preston, by Kevin Federline when she was 23, followed by Jayden James a year later.
Twice-wed Britney said she had a heart-to-heart with her sis three times in a year and added: "She seemed to take my advice."
At least the 26-year-old former pop princess admitted: "I've done some pretty dumb stuff and haven't been a good role model."
