Oscar de la Hoya’s wife gives birth to a girl

Oscar de la HoyaThe wife of Mexican boxer Oscar de la Hoya has given birth to their second child, a girl named Nina Lauren Nenitte de la Hoya, born Saturday in San Juan, Puerto Rico, the couple have announced.

According to People.com, the baby girl arrived at 4:36 p.m. local time, weighing 7 lbs., 13 oz., and measuring 20.5.

"We are so excited and blessed with the new addition to our family!" de la Hoya, 34 said in a statement.

The pregnancy was first announced in May - an hour after 'Golden Boy' lost a major match in Las Vegas to "Pretty Boy" Floyd Mayweather.

Nina is De La Hoya's fourth child and Corretjer's second. The couple welcomed their first child together, a son, Oscar Gabriel, on Dec. 29, 2005.

De La Hoya, 34, and 33-year-old Corretjer, a pop singer, were married Oct. 5, 2001. The couple met in 2000, when both were signed to the same record label.

The boxing heavyweight has two other children from previous relationships: Jacob and Atiana. Atiana's mother is former Dancing with the Stars contestant and model Shanna Moakler, 32.
