Michelle Pfeifer says she is ready to remake hit musical Grease - especially if Jessica Simpson stars in it. Pfeiffer, who starred in Grease 2, claims she has been approached about an updated version of the high school hit. And she says she will be onboard if Simpson lands the lead role of Sandy, first played by Olivia Newton-John.
"It's a great idea, and I hear they would like to get Jessica Simpson for the role of Sandy. She would be good," Pfeiffer told the New York Post.
Pfeiffer, who says she would like to play the role of Principal McGee: "She is fun and has some great put-down lines."
But Pfeiffer, 49, admits she does not look back on her own 'Grease 2 experience with much fondness. "I hated that film with a vengeance and could not believe how bad it was. At the time, I was young and didn't know any better. I hear it's a cult movie now."
