Heather Mills, the estranged wife former 'Beatles' star Sir Paul McCartney is reportedly splashing out on $60,000 on a lavish New Years party. The former model, dubbed Mucca by British tabloids due to her porn past, is set to welcome 2008 by watching $30,000 worth of fireworks go up in smoke.
The show at her East Sussex mansion will climax at midnight - with the message ‘Happy New Year, love from Heather' flashed across the sky, reports Britain's News Of The World newspaper.
Fancy caterers and copious amounts of alcohol have whacked another $30,000 to the bill. Each invite included a $40 remote control gizmo to open the gates to her $6.4 million country pad.
A pal said: "She doesn't trust anyone else to look after her security and didn't want to keep opening the gates herself or to leave them open." Her blowout comes despite the fact she owes $4million in disputed legal bills and is living on a massive overdraft, already running at more than $3million.
Meanwhile, dinnertime TV host Judy Finnigan has described Heather as having a "borderline personality disorder".
Judy, 59 - one half of TV duo Richard & Judy, said: "I think Heather's a textbook case it is quite a serious condition, characterized by paranoia, fantasy and delusions."
She added: "I'll tell you who else suffered from that - Princess Diana. When Heather compared herself to Diana, I think there was some truth in it, though not in the way she meant. I think she really needs help."
