Miley Cyrus fan said her dad died in Iraq to win Hannah Montana tickets

Miley CyrusA six-year-old girl won coveted tickets for a sold-out Hannah Montana concert by claiming her dad died in Iraq.

The youngster wrote a heartbreaking essay which started, "My daddy died this year in Iraq" to win a competition to see the teen music sensation.

But her mum stunned contest organizers by admitting the story telling how the soldier was killed by a roadside bomb was made up.

Mum Priscilla Ceballos, of Garland, Texas, said: "We did the essay and that's what we did to win.

"We did whatever we could do to win."

She insisted the rules of the competition never said the essay had to be true.

The grand prize in the contest run by a US store was flights to New York and four tickets to see Hannah Montana, aka Miley Cyrus, 15.

Competition organizers were today still deciding whether to take away the girl's prize.
