Lindsay Lohan has fuelled lesbian rumours after holding hands with a female pal at a party. Sources say the Mean Girls starlet has fallen for reality TV star Courtenay Semel. They describe one another as "room-mates", and have been living together in a Los Angeles house for about a month, according to reports.
And last week they appeared to take their romance public by attending a party at the home of so-called "power lesbian", writer Jeanette Longoria.
An insider revealed: "Lindsay came with Courtenay to the party around midnight and they stayed for an hour. "The girls held hands and were with each other the whole time. Every time I see Lindsay, there's Courtenay. They are always together." Semel, 28, is the daughter of former Yahoo! CEO Terry Semel.
Lohan, 21, most recently dated snowboarder Riley Giles, whom she met while in rehab.
Also at the party were Diana Ross' son, Evan Ross, and Brandon Davis. "Lindsay seemed really nervous," said the source. "It was the first time she's seen a lot of people from her past life and she seemed socially awkward - like she was sticking by Courtenay for support."
The close pals left together, and were spotted the next day shopping in Beverly Hills, California. Lohan has been linked to a string of male celebrities - including Colin Farrell, Sean Lennon, Bruce Willis and Calum Best.
It was also claimed she had been dating female DJ and best friend Samantha Ronson earlier this year.
A spokeswoman for Lohan told a US newspaper of Semel: "The two are good friends, nothing more."
Friends say Lohan has been spending most of her time recently with Semel. Semel reportedly infuriated her executive father by agreeing to star in E! reality show "Filthy Rich: Cattle Drive" with pals Fabian Basabe, Brittny [corr] Gastineau and Katy Benetar. The series, produced by Jessica Simpon's father, Joe Simpson, featured a pack of spoiled, rich kids roughing it on a Colorado ranch.
