Kelly Rowland’s choir voted off ‘Clash of the Choirs’

Kelly RowlandDestiny's Child star Kelly Rowland failed to strike the right note - as her newly formed choir was voted off a US reality show.

The 26-year-old singer wiped away tears when she lost the public vote to crooner Michael Bolton on Clash of the Choirs. "I'm so proud of my choir," she said, fighting back emotions.

Rowland and Bolton, 54, are just two of the celebrities taking part in the new NBC reality programme.

Bolton punched his fists in the air and hugged his music group as he discovered he was safe for another 24 hours.

On Clash of the Choirs, five celebrities have formed their own music groups from their hometowns to raise money for charity.

The best choir, voted for by the public, will win the star $250,000 for charity of their choice.

Bolton is now facing competition from Nick Lachey, Patti LaBelle and Blake Shelton.
