Harvey Weinstein’s honeymoon plans in jeopardy due to fuel strike

Harvey Weinstein and Georgina ChapmanHarvey Weinstein's honeymoon plans could be scuppered - by a fuel strike.

The movie mogul planned to take new bride Georgina Chapman on a romantic two-week Caribbean cruise.

But according to US reports the trip is in jeopardy because local fishermen won't let any boats leave the wealthy port of St Bart's.

A source revealed: "There is a huge fuel strike. The local fishermen are blocking all boats, including fuel tankers, from getting to or from the island. "No one can come to St. Barts or leave.

"All the boats are lined up in the harbour with nowhere to go."

Weinstein, 55, married British model-turned-fashion designer Chapman, 30, in a star-studded wedding at his Connecticut estate on Saturday. Guests included Robert De Niro and Jennifer Lopez.

The pair reportedly rented Denise Rich's 6,000-square- foot yacht, My Lady Joy, for two weeks - at a hefty $250,000 per week. But the strike has put an oar in the plans for dozens of wealthy winter holidayers.
