Controversial singer George Michael poked fun at himself during a guest appearance on a comedy sketch show.
Michael, who is openly gay, shared a steamy snog with a female nurse and laughed off the fact that he had not been made a sir.
His guest appearance was for the Christmas special of The Catherine Tate Show. He played a patient at the hospital where hapless nurse Bernie works.
Bernie, who is best known for making inappropriate comment to patients, is excited about the hospital Christmas karaoke party.
But as she sings on the ward, she is told to "shut the f**k up" by a pyjama-clad Michael who emerges from behind a curtain.
A stunned Bernie calls him Sir George, before Michael replies: "No not sir George, just George."
The Irish nurse then offers him sex, and Michael retorts: "Do you not read the papers love?"
Later on in the show he joins Bernie for a duet at the party where she gazes up at him lovingly. The show ends with Bernie finally getting her wicked way when the pair share a kiss, leaving Michael literally cross-eyed.
Actress Tamzin Outhwaite also makes a guest appearance on the show. She joins happily married couple Paul and Sam who find everything hilarious.
Playing one of Sam's friends, Tamzin and the rest of the cast laugh so much they wet themselves. At the end of the festive special the show's best loved character, Lauren Cooper, dies.
