X Factor rejects Same Difference land record deal

Same DifferenceX Factor rejects Same Difference have landed themselves a lucrative record deal, according to reports.

The brother and sister duo, Sean & Sarah Smith were given a final chance to prove themselves with Simon Cowell on his Syco record label. But 22-year-old Sean proudly said: "It's what we were holding out for," adding: "We have to sell loads and hopefully make No 1 before they will sign us for an album."

The pair, who came third to winner Leon Jackson in the TV talent contest, said judge Simon Cowell is searching for a perfect song to win over their young following.

Since the final Sean and Sarah have begun a whirlwind tour playing gay clubs, leisure centers and music venues.

Sean said: "Don't worry, we haven't turned into divas yet. I don't ask for rose petals to be strewn over the floor."

The record deal comes as bookmakers William Hill have began taking bets at 8/1 that they would become Blue Peter hosts to cash in on their appeal to kids. Sean added to Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "Blue Peter is all about everything we stand for, teaching children the right thing to do and most of all having fun."

The pair vowed to be good role models for youngsters.
