A date has finally been set for singer R Kelly to stand trial on child pornography charges - six years after he was first charged.. The 40-year-old 'Bump N Grind' singer will face a judge on May 9 over the porn allegations that stem from a video prosecutors claim shows the star involved in sex acts with a girl as young as 13 or 14.
Kelly has previously plead not guilty to the charges.
The judge at a preliminary hearing in Chicago on Friday also ruled that
Kelly can remain free on bail and doesn't have to cancel his current tour despite having missed an appearance on Thursday.
R Kelly told the judge his no-show was due to his tour bus being stopped for speeding.
