Troubled Britney Spears was warned that her teenage sister was pregnant AFTER ex-husband Kevin Federline had already been told. According to U.S. reports, Britney's mum Lynne went to Federline and broke the news before she even told her own daughter.
The news will only worsen the tension between mother and daughter - with Britney already accusing Lynne of siding with Kevin in their split and child custody battle.
Us Weekly magazine says that Lynne wanted Kevin to know that yet another media hailstorm was about to break over news that 16-year-old Jamie Lynn is expecting. "Lynne mentioned it to warn him that the media would be going crazy," a source told Us eekly.
"But she asked him as a favour not to say anything to anyone. She wanted him to be prepared."
Insiders say they are not shocked that Kevin came first. "Lynne talks with him way more than she talks to Britney," another source said.
Meanwhile, the uncle of Jamie Lynn's boyfriend says it is time for him to "put on the man shoes". Pastor Odus Jackson says Casey Aldridge, the father of Spears' baby, needs to grow up quickly and accept responsibility for the pregnancy.
"I'd like to tell Casey that he may not like it, but it's time for him to put on the man shoes," Odus Jackson said from his office at the Galilee Baptist Church in Gloster, Mississippi.
"I don't want to get in their family business, and I don't think they want me in their family business," Jackson says, "but there's going to be a baby involved, and [Casey] has responsibilities."
Jackson says it's not up to him to say if Aldridge and Spears should get married. "There are a lot of things that are in the way [and] that will make it tough to last," he says.
"We don't have anything to hide," Jackson says about his decision to talk about his nephew and his famous girlfriend.
"We've all done things in our lives we're ashamed of, things people never know about.
"But if this wasn't the Spears family - a famous family - no one would be making this kind of deal about it."
