Britney Spears' first husband has delivered stern warning to the teenager who got the star's 16-year-old sister Jamie Lynn pregnant. Jason Alexander, 26, made headlines around the world when he married Britney in Vegas - with the marriage lasting just 55 HOURS.
The experience left him bitter about the "Spears publicity machine" that he says ruined his life.
And now he is warning Casey Aldridge - the boy who has gotten Britney's sister Jamie Lynn pregnant at just 16 - to get lawyered up ready for a fight. "I don't think this boy Casey knows what he's gotten into," Alexander said from his home in Britney's hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana.
"I was just told to sign papers and everything would be OK. I had none of my own counselors.
"If I did, I'd be better off today."
Casey was thrust into the spotlight last week when Jamie Lynn admitted in an interview that se was pregnant.
Ever since then, Casey has remained mum - and Jason is convinced it is the "the Spears corporation", not his own loved ones, who are pulling the strings and forcing his silence. "When our publicity hit, I was advised to let them handle everything and it'll blow over," Jason recalled.
He said the publicity machine swept in so quickly he never had a chance to discuss with Britney how they wanted their lives to lead out. "After Brit and I got married, there was never a time when we had her family and my family in the same room to discuss what was going to happen," he said. "It's all about power and business."
Jason's wedding - coming after a long session partying - stunned the world. Almost more sunning was how it lasted just 55 hours.
But Jason insists he would never have signed a annulment without the pressure he was getting from Britney's people, saying he still "regrets" signing. "I was so young and didn't know anything," he said.
"If I had been counseled properly I never would have signed."
"Looking back, I'd want to say to them you're not going to powerhouse me and play chess with my life."
Although he fears Casey will be gong through a similar ordeal, he also believes the youngster has one big advantage - the baby.
As a daddy to a Spears' child he cannot so easily be pushed around and gotten rid of. "First thing I thought when I heard about Jamie Lynn was at least that boy got her pregnant so they couldn't tell him what to do like they did me," he said.
"He's got a little more leeway - more rope to pull with. All I had was a signed marriage license."
Jason had known Britney from childhood, growing up in Kentwood. And the two families had previously been close. Despite his ordeal, he still insists Britney's actual relatives are not all to blame. "The Spears family is not a bad family," he added. "They're just big business and have advisers."
