Troubled British singer Amy Winehouse has been invited to spend a 'rock family' Christmas at singer Bryan Adams' luxury villa in the Caribbean, it has been revealed. The 48-year-old 'Summer of 69 star wants to take the troubled 'Rehab' singer away from her drink and drugs problems by flying her out to his holiday home on the private island of Mustique.
According to British newspaper The Sun, Bryan offered to spend Christmas day with the 24-year-old singer to drag her away from the glare of the paparazzi. They could even invite Rolling Stones legend Mick Jagger round for some egg-nog, as he also has a home on the exclusive island.
Yesterday, a friend of the singer - whose husband Blake Fielder-Civil is currently locked up in London's Pentonville prison, said: “Amy has been invited to Mustique to stay with Bryan Adams.
“He is keen to help her. Mick could join them. He has also said he wants to help Amy.”
However, Mustique's other wealthy residents are not impressed by the singer visiting.
Earlier this week, Amy, famous for the lyrics 'They tried to make me go to rehab, I said no, no, no,' was arrested over an alleged plot to fix her husband's GBH trial.
She was freed on bail and visited Blake, 25, in prison yesterday.
