Wycelf Jean joined by 500 fans for his New Year’s bash

WYCLEF Jean may have gone too far when he invited "everybody" to his New Year's bash live on TV - he arrived home to find 500 people partying in his New Jersey mansion.

The former Fugees rapper sent out the mass invite while being interviewed on MTV. And by 1am, excited crowds of fans had gathered to dance the night away.

The festivities reportedly descended into chaos, with police being called two hours later to get it under control. "There were hundreds and hundreds of cars parked all over," said one partygoer. "They had tents set up outside, but people were wandering around in his house, in the movie theater, in the kitchen."

Wyclef had a poker table set up along with a Haitian food spread. "The cops came around 3am to break it up, it got so crazy," said the onlooker.
