Hollywood couple Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have secretly turned to fertility doctors for help in conceiving their second child together, it has been revealed. The pair, Tom, 41, and Katie, 29, are desperate for a son following the birth of daughter Suri in April 2006.
According to reports, the former 'Dawson's Creek' star is now planning to visit a specialist to determine whether the problem is on her side or her Tom's.
Katie fell pregnant with Suri just months into her whirlwind romance with the 'Top Gun' actor - but it's proving far more difficult to concieve this time round.
"She says they've been trying since the summer," says a source close to the famous pair. "But it just hasn't happened for them yet."
In a bid to cheer her up, close friend Victoria Beckham took Katie out shopping to buy lots of sexy lingerie.
"They went to Neiman Marcus and Agent Provocateur and Katie spent $3,000 in one shopping spree," reveals a pal. "She picked up all sorts to turn Tom on, including lacy bras and matching knickers, G-strings, garters, a few corsets and see-through nightgowns."
