Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban set for rural bliss

Nicole Kidman and Keith UrbanNicole Kidman and musician Keith Urban will raise their family in a quiet country estate.

The expecting Aussie star and her country music singer husband own adjoining properties in Franklin, Tennessee, with two homes sitting on a parcel of 36-acres.

The first, a 28-acre piece of land with a 3,963sq-ft home, was bought in September 2007 for $2m.

The second, an 8.2-acre parcel of land with a 3,168sq-ft home, was bought in October 2007 for $450,000.

Urban is obviously a big fan of the area as it is reportedly the second time he has bought there. Land records show that Urban and then-girlfriend, Supermodel Niki Taylor, owned a nearby 6,854sq-ft house on 15.63 acres.

When the couple split up in 2004 Urban deeded her the home, which she eventually sold.

Kidman and Urban bought the country homes several months before selling their Nashville home for $2.36m.

The couple got $90,000 less than their asking price of $2.45m for the four-bed 8,715sq-ft home in the gated Green Hills area of the city.

The buyer, who closed the deal back in November, is a female Christian and country music songwriter, according to U.S reports.

Urban, who tied the knot with the Oscar-winning actress in 2006, bought the house for $1.7m in 2005.

Urban has long talked about his desire to live further out in the country with Kidman. "I just knew that she would love it for the exact same reasons I love it," he told the Tennessean newspaper.

"There's a pace and a way of living that is much more spiritually satisfying to me than a lot of other places.

"It's something that has quite a bit of room to walk around and grow some grass under our feet and have some privacy, but not feel like we're isolated.

"We don't want to live in a compound. It's the great thing about Tennessee and especially Nashville.

"The people are just real people, so they just accept you being neighbors."
