Actress Katie Holmes insists her wedding to Tom Cruise is still the best day of her life. former Dawson's Creek star recalled her tears of emotion as it was "so magical" and "perfect" as she saw To as she walked down the aisle.
And she says that more than a year on she still thinks it was the best day of her life. "It was, it was," she said with a giant smile across her life.
Of her tears, she says: "I got ready and I was so excited and I looked at my dad and I said, 'Honestly do I look OK - I mean this is important here'.
"And he was really sweet and said, 'You look great'.
"And the moment the doors opened and I saw Tom I was just locked in and it was so magical it was perfect."
Katie also gushed about their daughter Suri, who turns two in April. "She's delightful," she said. "She's very strong and bright and she picks out some of her clothes.
"She's beautiful - very smart."
She says her first word was "Momma" - closely followed by "Dadda".
Now, she says, Suri is a "great mimic", adding: "Now she's talking all the time. She's saying, 'Who's that? Who's that?'"
She says that she has also found an unexpected benefit to motherhood getting to play kids' games and toys.
The Cruises all came to New York on Sunday night with one of their first stops the word-famous toy store FAO Schwarz.
"We got in and we were running around and eating ice cream and playing with all the toys," she recalled with clear delight.
"Tom and I were playing with a lot of the toys ourselves - it's very fun for adults. We were there for hours!"
