Kate Nash's pop video debuted on US TV - with hype that's she going to be the next Brit thing. Nash, 20, who has been likened to Lily Allen, had new single, 'Foundations' played on MTV's TRL on Tuesday.
The video premiere came after the North London star delivered her very first LA performance in front of a sold out crowd at the world famous Troubadour on Monday night.
Nash released her debut album, 'Made of Bricks' in the UK in August 2006, amidst mixed reviews.
Despite the negative press, the album managed to debut at No.1 in the charts in the UK.
Like Lily Allen, Nash speak-sings with an exaggerated Cockney accent, mixing her vocal style with dry, humorous lyrics.
Kate Nash owes a lot of her success to the popular website, myspace.
She found a manager, and proceeded to look for producers on the site, after uploading her music to her personal page.
