Man gives wife “deadly shock” during a night of kinky sex

A man who used an electrical cord to stimulate his wife during a night of kinky sex allegedly gave her a deadly shock.

Toby Taylor originally told police his wife Kirsten, 29, was shocked by a hairdryer.

But when authorities found burns on her body, the 37-year-old changed his story, saying that he had clipped an electrical cord to his wife and plugged it into a power strip, which he then turned on and off.

According to court documents, Taylor admitted he had used the technique to arouse his wife - and himself - in the past.

Mrs Taylor was found unconscious on Thursday night at the couple's Pennsylvania home. She was taken to nearby York Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

According to a probable cause affidavit, Taylor told police the couple was "into weird sexual behaviours".

Taylor told police that he hooks clips to his wife's nipples and "plugs the cord into a electric strip" and shocks her.

On Wednesday evening, Taylor said, Kirsten removed her clothes, attached the clips, and shocked herself.

He then picked up the electric strip and shocked her several more times, adding that he had placed a piece of electric tape over her mouth during the jolts, according to the legal document.

He said that after the last shock, Kirsten "fell over on to her face."

Taylor initially thought his wife was joking - but quickly realised she was unconscious.

He then dressed her in preparation for driving to the hospital, but instead called emergency services on 911 when she stopped breathing.

Taylor told investigators that the couple had "been engaging in electric shock sex and other types of extreme bondage for about two years."

York County Coroner Barry Bloss branded it a case of "bizarre sex".

He said: "This was bizarre sex. Some people would say this was perverted sex. I have never seen anything like this before."

And he said that even if Kirsten Taylor consented to the use of electricity, her husband should be charged his action showed a reckless disregard for human life.

"Even if you did it before, you have to know you could kill someone," Bloss added.

Taylor was jailed on Thursday on involuntary manslaughter and reckless endangerment charges. His bail was set at $100,000.

Police chief, David Sterner, said Mrs Taylor was thought to have died from a heart attack at the Craley, Pennsylvania home, caused by an electric shock.

Further testing of the electrical equipment and a toxicology test is expected to determine the exact cause, he said.
