Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page has revealed that he's ready to take the band out on a world tour following last month's one-night reunion concert in London.
But despite his desires, Page warned fans that it is not likely to happen anytime soon as the lead singer has other plans.
The band's three surviving members - Page, singer Robert Plant and bassist-keyboardist John Paul Jones - were joined at the sold-out benefit show at the O2 Arena by the late John Bonham's son Jason on drums.
Page, speaking in Japan, said the two-hour-plus concert was proof that the band can still perform at its best, and said that they are ready musically to get back together and take it out on a wider run.
Meanwhile, Robert Plant, 59, has rubbished trendy bands Radiohead and the Red Hot Chili Peppers - by demanding their music be turned off.
A source said: “He was drinking with a woman and didn’t like the choice of tunes playing.
“Radiohead was on and he started complaining. He said, ‘What’s this rhyming c**p?’
“The staff were obviously keen to please him so they changed the music. They put on the Red Hot Chili Peppers, who they thought might be more up his street. But he didn’t like their stuff either and said it was like a ‘nursery rhyme.’
“He then said he wanted to listen to Captain Beefheart.”
