Britney Spears’ boyfriend compares her to Princess Diana

Britney SpearsBritney Spears' on-off boyfriend Adnan Ghalib has likened them to tragic Princess Diana and Dodi Fayed as he revealed intimate private details of their relationship.

The Birmingham-born paparazzo has finally lifted the lid on his romance with Britney - despite fearing she could feel betrayed and dumped him.

He even claims the popwreck wants to have a baby with him after being banned from seeing her own kids.

Adnan believes there are clear similarities between troubled Britney and Diana, who was also pursued relentlessly by photographers.

And he thinks he is her Dodi because she is now "dating an Arab".

The snapper insists he is speaking out to clear his name and slammed reports he is exploiting Britney to rake in cash.

But he admits it could mean the fallen starlet never speaks to him again - and shatter his dreams of marrying her.

Adnan's stunning revelations include how he is convinced Britney wants to have another child with him and her heartache over her rift with her mum Lynne.

The married Brummie even shared private voicemail messages Britney left for him, including ones where she talks in her bizarre fake English accent.

In one message, besotted Britney says: "I'd love to see you and talk to you."

She says in a second voicemail: "It's your favourite person in the whole world. Give me a call."

Adnan agreed there are similarities between Britney and Diana during tell-all interview with two US television shows.

The paparazzi attention the two icons have attracted was mentioned before Adnan added: "Or dating an Arab."

Cocky Adnan believes he is the inspiration for Britney's recent attempts at an English accent.

He claims she is so besotted by him she even wants them to start a family, and thinks she genuinely believed she could be expecting when she recently picked up a pregnancy test.

He said: "I think she was hoping she was pregnant with my child.

"I think she felt that she was.

"She has a very maternal instinct.

"She was feeling a lot of things she said she felt when she was pregnant."

Asked if he would marry Britney, he replied: "Would anybody say no?"

Adnan also unleashed a thinly veiled attack on the "negative influences" he blames for Britney's troubles.

He refused to name names but dropped a broad hint he was referring to the likes of Britney's pal Sam Lutfi.

He said: ""It's not her mother. It's definitely not her sister.

"And for the most part it's not even her father.

"So do the math, I guess."

He told how Britney misses her mum Lynne following their rift, saying: "I know she does."

Adnan did stand up for Britney by claiming she is "normal", despite her increasingly erratic behaviour.

He declared she will never harm herself or her children because she cares about them so much and maintained: "She is no different from any other mum."

He said: "Does she spend night upset about not having her kids? All the time.

"Does she look at pictures and go through photos of her and the kids? All the time."

Adnan insisted Britney would "absolutely not" hurt sons Sean Preston, two, and Jayden James, one.

He said: "She wants them back. She needs them back.

"You have to understand the love she has for her kids outweighs anything else."

Adnan also spoke out about Britney's recent hospitalization, saying: "I think she was just afraid of what was going to happen - the helplessness, the loss of control.

"It doesn't make you crazy."

And he feels critics who have questioned his relationship with the chart-topper do not want her to find true happiness.

He said: "You know. It's unfortunate and I hate to say it, but people don't like happy in Hollywood.

"People don't want fairytale happy endings.

"I don't think anybody wants her to be happy.

"It's sad but it's very, very true.

"Whatever it takes. Scandal sells."

Adnan believes he is falling in love with Britney. He said: "Sometimes it's hard not to."

He maintains their relationship was strictly professional until late December - and claimed their romance left him stunned.

He said: "To be honest with you sometimes in life we prepare ourselves with things that may happen but I was definitely not prepared in any way shape or form for that.

"I was beyond shocked."

Adnan, whose long-suffering wife Azlynn filed for a legal separation this week, insists he is only setting the record straight and is not trying to make money out of Britney.

He denied receiving payment for interviews or trying to sell photographs of the fallen pop princess. But he confessed Britney could see his decision to speak to US shows 'Entertainment Tonight' and 'The Insider' as a betrayal.

He said: "If she feels there was a betrayal she will probably stop talking to me.

"On my behalf, I know there is no betrayal.

"This is my way of absolutely putting to rest the allegations."
