Amy Winehouse is currently relaxing at Bryan Adams' Caribbean villa, where she has developed a potentially fatal new past time - swimming with sharks.
The 24-year-old jazz diva has spent the past week at Bryan Adams’s luxury villa in Mustique to prepare herself for the year ahead, and has credited their daily scuba diving trips with helping her overcome her drink and drug addictions.
She told Britain's Daily Star newspaper: “I’ve learnt to appreciate simple things, like the beauty of nature. And it’s taught me to face my fears. It’s a different world down there. I can look at things in a new way.
“I’ve come to the realization that life is short, so I want to make sure I live every minute of it.”
Amy has been spending her time with the 48-year-old Canadian rocker 45 feet under water - with a host of wild reef sharks at feeding time.
Bryan befriend the 'Rehab' star when he took photos of her for a hearing awareness charity.
The pair have also been making late-night trips to the bottom of South Britannia Bay, where they sit in the cockpit of a sunken plane and meditate.
A source said: “It’s so peaceful and silent in the underwater plane.
“You can’t drink, smoke or talk under the sea, so they just sit thoughtfully in the old wreck and admire the glittering reef fish and coral.
“Amy has become obsessed with that aircraft. It was loaded with shrimp for Basil’s Bar, but crashed in the 1990s. She’s now thinking of writing a little song about it. It’s her new sanctuary.
“She is really going to miss the sharks and her watery new life when she returns to London.”
