Dolly Parton postpones tour due to back injury

Dolly PartonCountry singer Dolly Parton has been forced to postpone her latest tour - because of a back injury brought on by her huge breasts.

The buxom blonde singer even poked fun at her ailment telling fans to 'try wagging these puppies around for a while'.

Dolly revealed in a statement on her website: "I know I have been breaking my neck and bending over backwards trying to get my new Backwoods Barbie CD and world tour together but I didn't mean to hurt myself doing it!

"But hey, you try wagging these puppies around a while and see if you don't have back problems.

"Seriously though, the doctors said I will be good as new in a few weeks, and I can't wait to get back out there.

"See you soon, Dolly."

Dolly has now postponed her upcoming US tour after Doctors have advised her to take six to eight weeks off in order to recover properly.

The tour - in support of Dolly's Backwards Barbie album, due out February 26 on Dolly Records - was set to kick off February 28 in Minneapolis.

The dates will all be rescheduled to the end of April and a notice on Dolly's website, added: "DOLLY apologizes to all her fans for this inconvenience and hopes that her fans will be patient until the dates can be rescheduled for late April through May.

"Tickets will be honored for the new dates."

Dolly has long been as well known for her breasts as for her 25 number one country and western singles. As she rose to fame in the 60s and 70s she insisted her huge boobs were real.

In the mid-1980s, she lost a considerable amount of weight and in interviews afterward, she avoided answering whether her breasts had been augmented, referring to any procedure as only a "lift."

In 2002, however, she admitted for the first time in separate interviews with British newspapers that after the weight loss in the 1980s, she lost a great deal of breast size and subsequently obtained breast implants to bring them back to a similar size as she had prior to the weight loss.

Since then, she has made ample jokes in media interviews about their not being natural. She even once joked by saying: "Yep they are mine! Bought and paid for!".
