Hanna Montana star Miley Cyrus is set to host this year's CMT Awards on April 14, with her father Billy Ray Cyrus, it was announced today.
"Miley and I are so excited to be hosting the CMT Music Awards. We know it will be a fun-filled night with a lot of great music performances," Billy Ray says.
Also expected to be at the Nashville event are country superstars Carrie Underwood, Brad Paisley, Toby Keith and Taylor Swift.
The gig is just the latest in a series of projects teen sensation Miley, 15, and Achy Breaky Heart star Billy Ray have collaborated on. They can currently be seen on the big-screen in the concert film Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert - and the two have no plans to slow down any time soon.
"You've got to start slow, you can't start out going into a sprint, or you will get tired and worn out," Miley says. "When you get tired and you're not having fun anymore, then it becomes so much like work that you're not even chasing your dream. That thing that keeps me strong is the little bit of fire that I do want to keep going."
Miley recently revealed that she forced Billy Ray to audition to play the part of her father in her smash hit TV series.
"We were making jokes the whole ride [to the studio] and I was like: 'Dad do you want the job?' she said. "And he said: 'OK Miley, let's think about it'. It was funny but it was also really weird because my dad comes in and then another guy and then another guy.
"And you are like: 'That's so weird'.
"Because really you can't play favourites with the other guys and you can't act like you are going to one up them because he's your dad.
"But, duh, it's my dad.
