Nicole Kidman's rep has hit out at recent reports the pregnant actress was downing white wine at this Sunday's Academy Awards. New York Post columnist Cindy Adams wrote yesterday: "Boozing backstage during the Oscarcast is a no-no. But if you're pregnant Nicole Kidman it's a yes- yes. She wanted white wine. She got it."
But Kidman's rep has hit back, insisting the reports aren't true, saying: "Not true. She drank lemon zinger and water and was nursing a very bad cold."
The rep, Catherine Olim of PMK, also sent this statement to Perez Hilton, blasting Cinday Adams. "I have to tell you that Nicole Kidman most certainly did NOT drink white wine or any other alcoholic beverage backstage.
"She had water and lemon zinger tea. That’s it.
"I know, I was there with her I cannot remember that last time that Cindy Adams got anything right. She’s an idiot, and you can quote me."
Kidman, 40, announced that she was expecting her first child with her country music star husband Keith Urban, 40, last month.
