American Idol finalist Amanda Overmyer spent time behind bars for drink driving and has a string of other motoring offenses on her record, it has been revealed.
These offenses include driving a car at 100mph in a 45mph zone and for running a red light, according to the National Enquirer magazine.
Overmyer was pulled over by police in Crawfordsville, Indiana, and arrested for drink driving at 3.18am on October 14 2006.
Officer Jared Colley noted that her eyes were bloodshot and her balance was poor, the magazine states.
Police paperwork reads that Amanda, a nurse, gave a blood alcohol test of 0.108 - above the legal limit of 0.08. She spent six hours in the Montgomery County Jail before being released on bail.
Amanda has reached the finals of the hit TV talent show, but told judge Simon Cowell how her career had almost been derailed by a recent car crash that left her with cracked ribs and a head wound.
