Britney Spears' grandfather fears medical treatment will make her WORSE - insisting: "She shouldn't go in the nut house."
The superstar's emergency medical intervention, in which she was rushed to hospital in an amazing police motorcade, was assumed to be Britney's family's prayers finally being answered.
But her grandfather, June Austin Spears insists many relatives fear it will make the star even crazier. "I don't know about Britney," the 77-year-old said. "I'm worried about her. She shouldn't go in the nut house.
"Sometimes you come out worse than you come in."
Spears, 26, has been classified as "G.D." - gravely disabled - which means she is unable to take care of her personal needs, such as food, clothing and shelter. The classification is one of the criteria for involuntary commitment.
While unhappy, Britney's grandfather acknowledges that the hospital stay is her family's attempts to finally make things right. "Her daddy and her brother Bryan had a lot to do with it," said the singer's grandfather.
"They want what's best for her."
