"They were drinking and dancing, and all of suddenly they just started kissing," said one onlooker at trendy New York nightclub Tenjune.

Kevin Federline feels hospital is the ‘best place’ for Britney Spears
Britney Spears' ex-husband Kevin Federline is "worried" about the troubled singer and feels that the psychiatric hospital is the best place for her right now, a source close to the wannabe rapper claims.
Federline - who currently has permanent custody of his and Spears' two sons, "doesn't want her to get out until she's made progress," the source close to Federline tells American magazine People. "This is obviously going to help her in the end – later, much later."
The source adds: "He's worried. He doesn't even know what's going to happen next."
Federline, 29, was not directly involved in the latest events, "but he was aware of what was happening," says another source, a friend of Federline's.
Unlike the first time Spears was sent to the hospital, the children were with Federline, the friend says.
"Kevin legitimately wants Britney to get better. He wants her to be in their sons' lives. He wants them to have a loving relationship. He wants her to get healthy so she can be the mother they need and deserve," says the friend.
Spears, 26, was placed on a 5150 Hold at UCLA Medical Center today- the second time this month.
The first occurred on January 3 this year, when she locked herself in the bathroom and refused to give up custody of her sons to ex-hubby Kevin Federline.
On that night, the Toxic star was strapped down on a stretcher, looking dazed and confused, before being loaded onto an ambulance and taken to Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Beverly Hills.
A third source close to Federline says that getting medical help again for the 'Gimme More' singer, "has been planned for a long time. Her family is behind this."

Britney Spears had been on a 24-hour meth binge before hospitalization
Britney Spears had been on a 24-hour meth binge before she was rushed to hospital earlier today, according to a shocking new report from the US.
Ironically, the singer - who reportedly hasn't slept for three days, was desperately trying to stay awake - because she was terrified that if she fell asleep, her family would "drag her off to a mental institution," according to sources close to the 26-year-old pop wreck.
The drama unfolded at 2 a.m. Wednesday when Britney and her self-styled manager Sam Lutfi checked into the Beverly Hills Hotel and she began doing meth.
In addition to the Toxic' singer's psychiatric problems, the National Enquirer claims that Britney is addicted to crystal meth - which allegedly played a key role in her recent hospitalization; friends told her mother, Lynne, that she hadn't slept since last Saturday.
Experts say that Britney's behavior perfectly fits that of someone going on met binges.
"In heavy doses the drug causes nervousness, paranoia, complete loss of judgment, hallucinations ad extremely bizarre behavior," said Dr James Cocores, a well-known expert on drug addiction.
"Meth users lose their grip on reality and will sacrifice their careers, kids and families to keep using the drug."
Her drug-taking went on all day, interrupted only by brief dashes to her home.
Secret arrangements for her hospitalization had been made — but no-one wanted it to happen at the hotel.
Finally, at 8 pm, Brit's on-off paparzzo boyfriend Adnan Ghalib persuaded her to go home.
"The doctor came over but Britney was very spacey," says a source.
"She was eerily quiet — when they called her name she wouldn't even look at them. It was like she was deaf.
"A psychiatrist who came to examine her put the hospital plan into operation.
Spears is currently being held at the UCLA Medical Center, where she is believed to be on a 51500 hold - for the second time in a month.

Rosie O’Donnell blogs about Britney Spears
Rosie O'Donnell recently compared Britney Spears to Princess Diana - because being a paparazzi magnet could see the 26-year-old singer meet the same tragic end as the former royal.
But since Britney's hospitalization on Wednesday, the former 'The View' co-host blogged about the troubled singer in her own inimitable style - urging the public to support her family.
The entry reads:
"whenever young girl stars
came on my show
i tried to warn them
go to school
"follow jodie
she did it
u can too
save urself
"she was parkers age when i met her
lil souther girl with a tiny twang
yes maam she smiled
adorable
"she wanted it
the mothers always said
as way of both apology and explaination
in the dressing room
"vivi would
if i let her
support r family
with her light and talent
"its not mine 2 sell
"they could not have known
at the start
that this would b the result
it is sold as the answer
"if i had a magic wand
i would will her the strength
windex all windows
watch the sun warm her soul
"all together now
we pray"

Britney Spears’ pal launches an attack on her mother
Britney Spears' right hand man today launched an astonishing attack at the star's mother - insisting that she does not care about her daughter.
The pop superstar's hospitalization sparked an astonishing war of words between her parents and those the star keeps closest to her, specifically pal Sam Lutfi.
Spears said she wants her parents kept from making key decisions about her treatment - whereas Lynne and Jamie Spears fear one of her biggest problems is the people she is surrounding herself with.
But earlier today, Lutfi raised the war of words to a new level with a direct attack on Lynne Spears. And he angrily hit back at claims that it was Britney's mum who wanted her daughter treated - instead saying she ignored the star's cries for help so she could get a manicure.
"Her mother is not someone who cares about her daughter, she's only concerned with herself, Lutfi insisted.
"Sad but true.
"She was too busy getting a manicure to come over yesterday, despite her daughter's pleas.
"Sad, very sad."
Lutfi was present outside of Britney's home when she was taken away for hospitalization Thursday morning. He was also seen trying to gain admission to UCLA Medical Center, although Lynne reportedly denied him visitation rights.

Britney Spears “was like a zombie” hours before hospitalization
Before her hospitalization earlier today, troubled pop princess Britney Spears made a quick mid-day stop at Jerry’s Deli in Studio City, California, Wednesday - and looked like a "zombie".
"Around 3 o'clock, Britney came in and was completely out of it," an employee says of Spears. "She's come in before, but we've never seen her this bad," the source tells Us Weekly magazine.
"She was like a zombie like she was sleepwalking," the employee says, adding that she "didn't stay to eat."
Spears, 26, picked up her on-off paparazzo boyfriend Adnan Ghalib, who met up with her there, and "then left," the employee says. "It was all over in three minutes."
About 10 hours later, Spears was admitted to the UCLA Medical Center as part of "a carefully orchestrated intervention."
As she was admitted to hospital - the 'Gimme More' star showed the extent of her mental problems -by angrily accusing her MUM of sleeping with her boyfriend.
Insiders say that when she first went in she was "hurling profanities" at her parents and the staff of L.A.'s UCLA Medical Center.
But most amazingly she started screaming at her mum Lynne, accusing her of "sleeping with my boyfriend".
Although she did not say who she was referring to, Spears is currently dating Birmingham paparazzo Adnan Ghalib.
However it is not the first time the troubled star - currently getting emergency psychological help - has made such claims.
She has previously accused her mum of getting too close to Britney's ex-husband Kevin Federline, using her delusions in part as a basis for her rift from her family.
Insiders told U.S. media that Britney said she was on Adderall, a stimulant used to treat Attention Deficit Disorder, when she was admitted.
And she also admitted to taking up to ten laxatives a day, having previously been caught buying laxatives on her regular shopping trips.

Eva Longoria wears a hairpiece
Eva Longoria Parker has let the world in on her big secret - she wears a hairpiece.
The Desperate Housewives actress spilled her beauty tip on US TV on daytime chat show Live with Regis and Kelly.
When she walked on to the stage with her hair a bouncy, long bob, co-host Kelly Ripa said: "I love the hair."
Gutsy, down-to-earth Longoria Parker replied: "Oh honey it's not mine. It's fake. It's a wig."
The 32-year-old then began to explain in minute detail how her look was put together giving all the credit to the celebrity hairdresser she shares with singer Jessica Simpson.
She said: "Ken Paves is my hairdresser so he has all these hair pieces. He has short, long, curly, straight - with seven sensitive pressure clips.
"You can clip them in. I'd take them out right now [and show you] but he'd kill me."
When the newlywed was asked if her husband, basketball player Tony Parker, can still run his fingers through her hair when she wears these pieces, the actress put them straight. She said: "No. There's no way."
Leaning back in her seat, with her arms blocking her hair she said that she tells her husband: "Woo, no, no, woo.'
"Even with my own hair," Longoria Parker jokes. "I don't letno, no."
The actress who married Parker in France last year said that married life was "great" and one good thing about the Hollywood writers' strike is that she could spend time with her husband in their Texas home. She said: "I'm a total NBA wife."
But she added that she loved the recent Screen Actors Guild awards because it meant that she got to see her Desperate Housewives co-stars again for the first time in months, since the strike began.
Longoria Parker said: "It was like a high school reunion. We hadn't seen everybody and we were like: 'Oh my God'."
The actress spent the rest of the show, however, making her hosts laugh by telling them about her recent trip to the UK.
She said while the British paparazzi were "crazy", so too were the TV talk show hosts that asked her rude questions. "You know what's crazy?" Longoria Parker asked Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa. "The talk shows over there. They'll go: 'This is the Regis and Kelly of London' and then they go 'This is the David Letterman of London'.
"It's crazy. On the night one - The Jonathan Ross Show - you can cuss. He asks you crazy, crazy questions.
"And then they speak funny - I mean proper English. We speak funny.
"I had bangs. Kenny had a straight bang piece that he puts on. And I said: 'Look at my bangs' and bangs apparently mean something sexual.
"And they say fringe: 'Oh fringe. It's a fringe'. I'm like: 'I don't know'. Then he says something else."
At this point Regis, 76, a veteran TV host asked the actress: "So, they ask tough, probing questions?"
But Longoria Parker stuns the presenter with her response. "Not tough," she said, "Crazy."
She told Regis and Kelly that Ross asked her: "Do you fart?"
A visibly shocked Regis cringed and asked: "What happened to the British nobility and civility? No more, huh?"
Longoria Parker said: "No more. And that's how we started the interview."
Regis then asked the actress: "And what was the answer to that question?" He immediately thought better of it and said: "I don't want to know. I don't want to know."
But Longoria Parker reassured him saying, tongue-in-cheek: "I don't fart. I never have gas."
At which point Ripa says: "I knew it. I knew it. She's perfect. Ken actually has an anti-gas hairpiece."
Longoria Parker's new film is called Over Her Dead Body and opens around the world on February 1.

Katie Holmes’ rep denies pregnancy rumors
Kate Holmes' rep has insists the actress is pregnant with her second child, despite reports to the contrary.
Holmes, 29, fueled rumors she was expecting after she spent over $2000 on baby wear at LA boutique Petit Tresor last week.
But a rep for the former Dawson's Creek actress tells PageSix.com that the rumors aren't true.
In December last year the actress - who's married to Tom Cruise, Scientologist, admitted she'd love more kids with the 45-year-old 'Top Gun' actor.
"She had it all figured out," a source told America's People magazine.
"She would shoot her new movie and then get pregnant. She was hoping to have the baby by the end of the year, go back to work next spring and have another film out by the end of 2009.
"Both she and Tom - especially Tom - were hoping to have their next baby before Katie turns 30 in December."

"Both she and Tom - especially Tom - were hoping to have their next baby before Katie turns 30 in December."

Britney Spears being treated by Bipolar specialists
Pop wreck Britney Spears was admitted to the UCLA Medical Center because of its experience with treating bipolar disorder, a source close to the singer claims.
"Her lawyers and doctors have been working with UCLA," says the source. "They were ready and had everything in place."
The facility, says the source, is better prepared to treat Britney than L.A.'s Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where she was hospitalized for less than 48 hours earlier this month.
"When she went to Cedars they weren't ready for her," the source tells Us Weekly magazine.
"They have a much stricter unit at UCLA and treat bipolar cases regularly," the source adds. "This is a serious unit she's on."
It has previously been reported that Mariah Carey was treated at the same facility in 2001 following her highly publicized emotional breakdown.
Before the meticulously planned intervention, which subsequently lead to Spears' hospitalization, it was reported that the 'Gimme More' star hadn't slept since Saturday — a sign of suffering from bipolar disorder, says Pauline Wallin - an expert in the field. "You can go all night without sleeping," she says.
Another sign of Bipolar: Spears has extreme highs (known as manic episodes) followed by intense lows - a prime example, her argument with pal Sam Lutfi on Monday; she sobbed on a curbside, shoeless and "Her pattern of behavior indicates that she doesn’t have a lot of self-control when she gets upset," Wallin adds.
The troubled mother of two is currently under a "mental health evaluation hold" – commonly known as a "5150 – meaning she can be held there for up to 72 hours if a medical professional deems her a danger to herself or others.
After the 72-hour treatment, her family can seek a 14-day extended evaluation or patients can decide to seek further treatment, according to ABC News, citing the California Department of Mental Health.
"Because it was planned there's a much higher likelihood they'll be able to extend her stay beyond the 5150," the source says.

The 26-year-old 'Sin City' star - who is pregnant with her first child with fiancé Cash Warren - was spotted buying boy-themed baby accessories at Los Angeles baby boutique Petit Tresor.
A source revealed: "Jessica ordered nautical-themed baby furniture for her nursery. Then just as she was leaving she picked up a blue Huddy Buddy romper suit with 'I'm A Boy' written on the front."
Meanwhile, Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria has been singing the praises of her pregnant pal.
"She's going to be amazing," Eva, 32, gushed at the premiere of her new comedy Over Her Dead Body
"She has to be one of the most compassionate, loving people you've ever met, and she is going to raise the most awesome human being in this world!
"Cash has to be another amazing human being. So the two together - it's a no-brainer!"
But Jessica is concerned about impending motherhood and recently confessed she is having nightmares about breastfeeding.
She said: "One dream I had was to do with breastfeeding, which is the only thing I'm paranoid about. I'm more paranoid about that than about giving birth!
"I've been feeling a lot more emotions. Anything could make me incredibly angry or break down crying. That's not something I'm used to."

Britney Spears’ hospitalization sparks war between her parents and friends
Britney Spears' hospitalization has sparked an astonishing war between her parents and the people the star keeps closest to her.
The troubled pop superstar's admittance to hospital in L.A. for mental evaluation finally brought about her parents' wishes for her to be forced into getting help.
But even now, Spears and her right hand man Sam Lutfi are stopping her parents from taking control - even drawing up legal letters blocking them.
However her parents Jamie and Lynne feel those around her - including Lutfi and paparazzo boyfriend Adnan Ghalib - are a bad influence and are desperate to ultimately take her away from L.A. and home to sleepy Louisiana.
The events mean that even as she is in hospital getting help, a nasty battle for control is being waged in the hallways of UCLA Medical Center.
Now lawyers are being involved to try to sort out a legal mess - and it may take a judge to ultimately decide who should look after the troubled star.
An insider said: "Lawyers have been called and the tension in the air is thick.
"Jamie has been screaming at Sam in the hallway, accusing him of trying to control his daughter's mind."
Spears and Lutfi are said to have drawn up legal papers preventing her parents from making decisions over her healthcare after she was hospitalised earlier this month.
Insiders say at the time Spears' dad went "ballistic", screaming and swearing at Lutfi - and even pushing him
The fight surrounds who has the best interests at heart for Britney. Her parents Jamie and Lynne have been desperately trying to get her to seek help, and believe that Lutfi and those around their daughter are controlling her and encouraging her to make terrible decisions
But Spears herself has still not fully forgiven her parents for what she saw as betrayals over her divorce from Kevin Federline - and she still wants Lutfi to call the shots on her behalf. He insists that Spears "went willingly".
Lutfi said: "It was like something in her heart was telling her she should go. "She knew something was wrong."
The battle for control extends beyond hospital treatment.
Once discharged, Britney's mother Lynne wants to take the singer away from temptations in L.A. and back to her childhood home of Kentwood, Louisiana.
"Lynne is extremely concerned for her daughter and would like to take Britney back home to Louisiana and get her out of Hollywood," Britney's lawyer Michael Flanagan said.
"Brit has an amazing support system in Louisiana."
He added: "Lynne was holding up reasonably well, but her first priority and concern right now is with her daughter and helping her through this very tough situation that she is in."

Britney Spears’ mom vows to stand by her
Britney Spears' formerly estranged mom Lynn Spears has vowed to stand by her troubled daughter.
Despite being shunned by the 'Gimme More' singer - who earlier today was rushed to hospital on the orders of her new psychiatrist - Lynne insists she will continue to do everything in her power to help the 26-year-old singer.
She said: "Britney is on my mind day and night. She never leaves my thoughts. I love Britney dearly, and I want nothing more than to protect her and make everything all right for her."
Lynne arrived at the Toxic singer's Beverly Hills mansion on Monday night with her ex-husband and Britney's dad Jamie to look after the star after she had a blazing row with her manager Sam Lutfi.
Lynne then spent Tuesday morning with Britney in Los Angeles while she shopped for a car. Relations between the pair remain frosty after Britney famously issued a restraining order to keep her mother away from her sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James last year.
Lynn also spoke about news that her 16-year-old daughter Jamie Lynn is pregnant with her first child.
She told America's Life and Style Weekly magazine: "Jamie Lynn is my baby. I'm doing my best. I'm doing as well as can be expected. I will always be there for her."

New York police officer charged with pimping out two underage girls
A veteran New York police officer has been charged with pimping out two underage girls into prostitution.
Detective Wayne Taylor was arrested alongside his girlfriend after a girl aged just 13 said they were making her have sex with men.
They were then arrested as the allegedly drove another underage girl to a hotel for a strip party and sex with several men, police said.
"This case is every parent and every child's worst nightmare made even more frightening by the fact that one of the defendants is a police officer who swore to uphold the law and protect the community he serves," Queens District Attorney Richard Brown said.
The 13-year-old girl who first went to police had been a runaway when she met a madam named 'Drama' who started her dancing for money, according to the charges.
Drama took the girl to a madam named "Mommy Z" who allegedly "bought" the teen for $500. Officers say Mommy Z is Taylor's girlfriend, Zelika Brown, 28.
Taylor, 35, a cop since 1994, and Brown, began bringing her to strip and bachelor parties, and the officer told her to say she was 19 if anyone asked, the DA said.
Prices at the sordid soirees ran from $40 for oral sex to $80 for intercourse. Brown, who has a tattoo on her back that reads "Wayne", allegedly told police she was running the prostitution business and Taylor would "watch out" for her while her girls were working.
Taylor told cops that Brown just ran an "exotic dance" business. The alleged madam at least once chastised the 13-year-old for not earning enough money and slammed her head into the floor, prosecutors said.
Taylor allegedly told the victim that if she failed to earn more money or tried to leave his home he would force her to work on the streets. It was only after the pair allegedly sold the teen to another pimp that she ran away and eventually spoke to police. She described Taylor's van, in which she'd been driven from party to party, and when cops spotted it they made the arrest.
Sources said Taylorhad long been a target of Internal Affairs which was probing allegations he was involved in drug activity.
His girlfriend was also already under investigation - by the FBI for "human trafficking," law-enforcement sources said. Taylor and Brown are charged with promoting prostitution, endangering the welfare of a child, kidnapping and unlawful imprisonment. They were held last night in lieu of $250,000 bail each. Lawyers for both denied the charges.

Britney Spears’ latest hospital trip a “meticulously planned police operation”
Britney Spears' latest trip to hospital was a meticulously planned police operation - with the star codenamed 'The Package'.
Officials knew the troubled pop star was to be taken in for psychiatric evaluation and a specialist unit planned a motorcade to get her in safely.
Even the airspace above was closed off to protect Spears - and the motorcade stretched as long as a football field.
Throughout the operation, police and ambulancemen kept radio contact - with Britney referred to throughout as 'The Package'.
The decision to finally bring her in for evaluation was made after Britney confessed that she had been up since Saturday - meaning more than 100 hours without sleep.
Those involved in planning to take her in decided they had to act instantly before the star went off the rails even more spectacularly then ever before.
It was clear when she was last taken to hospital, following a stand-off with police at her home after she refused to hand-back her sons, that her parents Lynne and Jamie wanted her taken in to care.
"Something like this has been in the works since she was last taken to hospital," an insider said.
"The motorcade and everything was planned, it was already in the works to have them block off the road and airspace. It worked out perfectly.
"No one thought this would happen this soon, but it was clear if she stayed up for more than three days she'd have to get sent, since that could cause real damage.
"The last time she slept was Saturday."
The well-organized operation meant there were none of the chaotic and alarming scenes when she was stretchered out of her home in shackles the last time.
Insiders say Britney was also much calmer about the whole thing - even joking with those around her about it all.
Before the police arrived, her psychiatrist told her she was going back to the hospital and she offered no resistance.
"Is something wrong?" she asked, before making herself hot chocolate and waiting patiently.
But at one point she reportedly told her mum Lynne to "shut the hell up", and then sat on the floor and wrote notes to people who were there as they waited. When emergency personnel arrived, Brit went on the gurney without resistance.
"She's more comfortable this time," the insider said.
"She came into the waiting area, had a cigarette, made a joke about being there again.
"She'll be in there for at least 72 hours getting evaluated. She might even stay longer.
" But who knows what will happen. All we can hope for is that she gets better."

Britney Spears’ mom shocked she has “deteriorated to this level”
DAYS before Britney Spears' meticulously planned intervention, the troubled singer's mom, Lynn Spears "flew out" to L.A. Sunday and was shocked to see how badly the singer's mental condition had deteriorated, a source close to the singer has claimed.
"Lynne was devastated," a source tells Us Weekly magazine. "She hadn't seen her in a while and to see her deteriorated to this level – what mother wouldn't be affected by that? It's awful."
On Monday, Britney's pal and self-styled manager Sam Lutfi phoned Barbara Walters, saying that the 26-year-old 'Gimme More' singer and her estranged mother were back on speaking terms and that Brit was having trouble sleeping and was suffering from "mood swings".
Though the two appeared terse at a Beverly Hills Mercedes-Benz dealership Tuesday morning, The View co-host quoted Lutfi as saying, "her mother has been very supportive of whatever it is that Britney is trying to do."
Last night the singer was taken to UCLA Medical Center in a "carefully orchestrated intervention," the source says.
She "had been up since Saturday without any sleep," other sources say.

P Diddy hoarding Cristal for Super Bowl
Rapper P Diddy has always liked to party big - and now he is drinking dry a whole U.S. state's supplies of Cristal champagne.
The hip hop hero is hosting the biggest party for the American Football Super Bowl in Arizona this weekend.
And it is such a big bash almost every bottle of Cristal - his favorite tipple - has been snatched up ready for his blowout party at Club Axis/Radius.
"He's hoarding all of it," the distributor for the AZ Wine Co. said. "Cristal is hard to get anyway, but with the Super Bowl in town, it's impossible."
Jeff O'Neil, general manager of Axis/Radius, said: "I have been stockpiling all year for the Super Bowl, and especially for the P. Diddy block party."
VIPs at the event will be able to buy Diddy's stash of Cristal at $800 a popped cork.
Diddy will perform at the $175-a-ticket block party, which will be held right outside the club. VIP tickets are being sold for $1,100.
Meanwhile, with 100,000 Super Bowl fanatics flooding into town, the area's strip clubs have stocked up their bars and hired hundreds of extra girls from all over the country.
"They are coming in from everywhere and everyone is excited about all the hoopla," said Christie's manager Richard Middleton.
The massive strip club has hired an extra 100 dancers to pacify the crowds which are expected to swell over the next couple of days, he said.
For the girls, no matter who wins, the prospect of deep-pocketed bigwigs looking for a little relaxation has them seeing dollar signs. "Everybody's looking forward to making thousands," said Tasha, 25.
"I'll be here waiting for all the fans to come in after the game cause everybody's going to be in a party mood."

Amy Winehouse is “the perect example” - Mary J Blige
Amy Winehouse may be in rehab after being filmed smoking crack from a pipe - but that doesn't mean she isn't a setting a good example according to former drug addict Mary J Blige.
"Amy’s music means something," she said. "If you look at truth, leadership and honesty in music, Amy is the perfect example. She’s probably the best thing in the business now.
"I hope I can collaborate with her."
Meanwhile, to keep her sane in rehab, the 24-year-old 'Back to Black' star has been watching Marilyn Monroe films.
“Amy is very ill and is suffering horrific withdrawal symptoms," said the singer's dad, Mitch, 57. "One thing helping Amy is her Marilyn Monroe films. Amy loves Some Like It Hot. She’s a huge fan of Monroe and thinks she’s wonderful."
Amy checked into London’s Capio Nightingale Hospital last Thursday after a shocking video of her smoking - what appeared to be crack cocaine - was published by a British tabloid.

Howard K Stern took of Anna Nicole Smith’s dead because they “might be worth some money”
HOWARD K Stern took pictures of Anna Nicole Smith's dead son - and said he did so because they "might be worth some money", a court heard.
Speaking at the inquest of Daniel Smith in the Bahamas, a friend of the family said he was "shocked" at the actions of the late model's partner just hours after the 20-year-old was found dead in a hospital room.
G Ben Thompson said Stern then turned to him and justified it by saying "it might be worth some money some day."
But Stern's legal team suggested the pictures were taken for the benefit of Anna Nicole, who had been dragged away from the body and was in "disbelief" that he had died.
The revelations came on the second day of evidence in the latest session of the inquest at Nassau's Coroner's Court.
Daniel died mysteriously on September 10, 2006, in the Bahamas, three days after his sister Danielynn was born there.
He had been sleeping in a hospital room along with his late mother and her partner Stern when he was found unconscious.
Thompson, a real estate developer in South Carolina, said he rushed to the hospital the morning Daniel was found dead.
After Anna Nicole was taken away from the room, he saw Stern with a digital camera, the court heard.
"He took two, maybe three or four at the most, photos of the baby and Daniel," Thompson said. "I was totally shocked. He was taking pictures of a dead child, lying on a bed."
However, when questioned by Stern's attorney he admitted it might have "also" been in order to help "prove to Anna that Daniel was indeed dead".
He also admitted he had not mentioned that Stern had spoken of the value of the pictures when interviewed by police.
Stern's legal team accused Thompson of later "fabricating" the suggestion because of a grudge against Stern, which he denied.
The property developer has an on-going ownership dispute with him regarding the Nassau house Stern and Anna lived in.
Thompson, who saw Daniel the night before he was found dead, also told the court the former Playmate's son was "totally ecstatic" when they last spoke.
The court had been told by an expert that he died of an intentional overdose - which could be classed as a suicide if there is evidence of "self destructive statements" or "suicidal thoughts".
But Thompson said that Daniel was "extremely happy" as he arrived on the island the previous night to see his mother and the newborn at the Doctors' Hospital in Nassau.
He said: "He walked straight over and embraced his mother ad immediately wanted to hold the baby."
"It give me chills to think about it," he added. "He was extremely happy, he was all smiles, he couldn't take the smile off his face.
"He was so happy to see his mother and the baby."
Later, Thompson said that Daniel had recently gone through a break-up and had been looking thinner than usual. He said he was aware Daniel had been hospitalized with depression over the previous year.
He also told the court that Anna Nicole was "as normal as one could be" when she was not on medications, but "totally out of it" when on them.
The inquest has been adjourned until March.

Britney Spears’ mom wants to take her home to Louisiana
Britney Spears' mom Lynn Spears is reportedly planning to take her troubled daughter home to Louisiana.
Following last night's meticulously planned secret intervention, Lynne has decided that she is taking Britney out of L.A. as soon as she’s released from UCLA Medical Center. "Lynne is extremely concerned for her daughter and would like to take Britney back home to Louisiana and get her out of Hollywood,” Britney’s lawyer Michael Flanagan said.
Lynn - who "flew out" to L.A. Sunday and was shocked to see how badly the singer's mental condition had deteriorated, feels that the biggest problem facing Britney's recovery is the current circle of friends she keeps, and Lynne desperately wants to extricate her daughter from that. "Brit has an amazing support system in Louisiana," Flanagan tells PageSix.com, reinforcing the belief that Britney simply can't get the help she needs while she remains in Los Angeles. "Lynn was holding up reasonably well, but her first priority and concern right now is with her daughter and helping her through this very tough situation that she is in."
The 26-year-old 'Pieces of Me' star was taken from her Beverly Hills mansion in an ambulance today shortly after 1a.m. to UCLA Medical Center, where she is believed to be on a 'mental health evaluation hold' on the orders of her psychiatrist.

Michelle Williams “booted” Heath Ledger out of their home after drugs binge
TRAGIC Heath Ledger - who had become a regular user of cocaine and heroin in the past year, reportedly got so high on drugs, his then girlfriend Michelle Williams was forced to boot him out of their Brooklyn home.
"She couldn't take it any more. Heath wouldn't show up for two to three days, and all of a sudden he would show up on her doorstep, an absolute wreck," a source close to the 28-year-old 'Brokeback Mountain' star has claimed.
"He was partying, doing drugs. She didn't like the company he was keeping. She gave him an ultimatum. . . . and threatened to get custody of the girl. He wanted to make it work, but it was this scene he was wrapped up in. Was he an addict? Yeah."
The claims come as US television shows "Entertainment Tonight" and "The Insider" prepare to air a video of Ledger snorting cocaine with a rolled-up bill at the Chateau Marmont.
According to reports, the video was taped without Ledger's knowledge following the SAG Awards two years ago. Ledger is heard on tape saying, "I'm gonna get so much sh*t from my girlfriend. We have a baby together, Matilda." Matilda was 3-months-old at the time.
A pal who claims to have snorted cocaine with Ledger says the actor's sudden rise to fame had him constantly exposed to drugs. As the pressures of work grew, he couldn't say no, and then refused to get help. "He was hanging out with a bad crowd," the pal tells the New York post. "He wasn't cleaning up his act. He was making absolutely no effort . . . He was really into heroin. He wasn't sleeping or communicating with anyone."
Ledger was found dead in his Downtown Manhattan apartment last week along with six kinds of prescription pills.
Authorities believe he overdosed, although the cause of death won't be official until toxicology tests are finished.
"At the end of the day this is really tragic," the source said. "He was a nice guy. I first met him in 2002. He was scared about the whole Hollywood thing . . . I don't think he realized how crazy it was going to be. So many people wanted a piece of him."
But, the pal adds, things got really bad when heroin entered the picture. "Once you go down that road, then it gets really scary. Because all of sudden you shoot up, you take heroin, then you do a line of cocaine and then you take sleeping pills. Look at River Phoenix, he died exactly the same way."
Ledger's rep was unavailable for comment.

Britney Spears’ parents fight with Sam Lutfi over medical care responsibilities
Britney Spears' parents, Jamie and Lynn have been fighting with the troubled singer's manager Sam Lutfi over who's responsible for her medical care.
After Britney's stay at Cedars earlier this month, she reportedly asked that her lawyers draft paperwork making it clear she did not want her parents involved in making medical decisions on her behalf. Her dad had was furious at the time, screaming and swearing at Lutfi - even pushing him in front of Britney.
After the fight with Lutfi, it was agreed that Britney's parents would take responsibility for her medical treatment. TMZ.com reports that the doctors at UCLA, where Britney is on "5150 Hold", are now "fully cooperating" with the parents in the treatment of the Toxic singer, however, the judge will need to sign an order to decide who has full control.
Sam Lutfi left the hospital before 4:00 AM; Jamie Spears also recently left.

Britney Spears “more comfortable” in latest hospital trip
Pop wreck Britney Spears' latest trip to the hospital is much more different from the last time: the Toxic singer went willingly, and she's "more comfortable" receiving medical care – even making a joke about her second trip, a source close to the pop star says.
"She'll be in there [hospital] for at least 72 hours getting evaluated. She might even stay longer," the source told America's People magazine. "She's more comfortable this time, she came into the waiting area, had a cigarette, made a joke about being there again. But who knows what will happen. All we can hope for is that she gets better."
And getting help for the 26-year-old mother of two was much easier - as it was planned far in advance, the source claims.
"Something like this has been in the works since the [last trip to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center]. She has been seeing her psychiatrist every day," the source says. "No one thought this would happen this soon, but it was clear if she stayed up for more than three days she'd have to get sent, since that could cause real damage. The last time she slept was Saturday."

Lily Allen’s brother told to trim his pubic hair
Lilly Allen's little brother Alfie Allen is set to make his stage debut in Equus tonight - but producers of the sexually charged play have ordered the young actor trim his man bush before he gets up on stage and err.. naked - because they reckon it's "out of control".
A source revealed: "The producers and director are waxing lyrical about Alfie - he is incredibly talented.
"But rehearsals for one of the play's climactic scenes, in which he appears naked alongside co-star Laura O'Toole, revealed a knotty problem - his pubic hair. Apparently, Alfie is a grower not a show-er and his unkempt bush needed to be cut back.
"It was out of control and not doing justice to his manhood..
"It was quite awkward and no one knew how to tell him and who should do it. But when Alfie was told, he took it like a man - and reached for the nail scissors. Now he can't wait to get up on stage and show off his super buff and aerodynamic bod."
Alfie takes over from Harry Potter star Radcliffe in the drama which begins a four-month nationwide tour in Chichester, West Sussex, this evening.

Couple who fell in love in virtual world to wed in real life
Trapped in a loveless marriage with a controlling husband, Kristen Birkin found herself seeking comfort in an online virtual world.
When the 33-year-old realized she hadn't been on a night out with friends for more than a decade she found another way to escape.
She managed to save enough money for a computer and within minutes had logged on to Second Life, a 3D virtual world where she could escape her lonely existence by making friends and regaining the social life she had missed out on for so long.
But it wasn't long before she found more than friendship and the confidence to leave her partner.
Kristen, from Warwickshire, England, said: "My real life was diabolical so I just wanted an escape. "I thought I'd be in the relationship I was in forever. I couldn't see a way of getting out of it. I wasn't allowed to go anywhere. He'd always ask 'how long are you going to be' and 'where are you' so in the end I thought I'd get a computer. Second Life came along and then bang."
It didn't take the mother of one long to find her feet in the virtual world and create her on-line character, Kira.
Each character is represented by a 3D image known as an avatar. "The avatar I am now is quite stunning," she said.
"She is everything I should have been years ago, slim and attractive. I finally felt I could be who I wanted to be. I felt stronger."
Within a week on the site, which is estimated to have been used by four million people since it was created three years ago, Kira met Nik, a character with long black hair and broad shoulders.
Nik, a 47-year-old sales advisor, whose real name is Steve Sweet, was living more than 170 miles away on the Kent coast with his wife of 24 years. It wasn't long before Steve's wife became suspicious.
Nik and Kira had been spending more and more time together and had made the decision to set up a virtual home.
Kristen said: "As time went on and I met Nik my feelings grew. I was in control again and I got the old me back. I got my life back.
"In real life we lived in small houses and it always rains but in Second Life we've got a big house and live by the beach."
It was when Steve's wife spotted him with Kira online that she began to ask questions about their relationship.
Steve said: "We were both in relationships and we both had issues with those relationships but there is no way I would have had an affair behind my partner's back.
"Eventually there were suspicions. There was one occasion I was in our house in Second Life and there were pictures of Nik and Kira on the wall holding each other and my ex-partner saw them. She looked at it and said 'are you having an affair?'
"I just went cold and said it's a computer game don't be silly, what could possibly be going on?"
Five months after meeting online Kristen and Steve decided to meet in real life. It was then Steve realised he had to do make a decision about his future and two weeks later he moved in with Kira and her 12-year-old Sam.
He said: "It sounds terrible to say but I was in a relationship for 24 years and it got to the point where I had to do something.
"I think I did the right thing and that was to leave my ex-partner, move in with Kristen and create the least amount of hurt I could in the process. I think I've done it as well as I could have."
Nik and Kira decided to take their relationship one step further by getting married online.
They pair had exchanged photographs and been chatting online for just over 10 weeks when they exchanged vows and rings.
Kristen said: "You do everything you would do in real life like chose the dress, chose the flowers, chose the venue."
The couple uploaded their own voices to exchange the vows they had written themselves.
Steve said: "As we stand hand in hand gazing into our future this is the beginning of a dream. I've been waiting all my life for you Kira. You complete me."
Kira followed his vows by saying: "You are my friend, my love, my soulmate, the half which my makes me whole. You fill my soul with your sun and lift me up to new heights of happiness."
Kristen and Steve are now engaged to be married in real life and are expecting their first child together.
Having found happiness they don't log on to Second Life as much as they used to but completely understand why people do.
"People we speak to in Second Life complain about real life getting in the way of their Second Life time. Given the choice they would almost live there permanently," said Steve.
One person who can't understand is Lee from Bensalem, America. He has been forced to sleep in the living room of his own home because his wife Carolyn spends all night socialising on the site.
He said: "She was what I was looking for in a woman, caring, sensitive and outgoing.
"All of a sudden everything became very secretive. I just knew at that point something was going on.
"I knew something was different the first time I wasn't allowed in my own bedroom. I was pushed out .
"She was like 'no, no, no, you can't come in.' She pushed me out and shut the door. She came out a few minutes later but wouldn't tell me what was going on."
For Carolyn, Second Life offered an escape more seductive than the real world. She found comfort in the virtual world after staying at home to care for her four children for nine years sent her into a spiral of depression.
Before long she was spending up to 14 hours a day on Second Life and spending very little time with her two daughters and two sons.
Carolyn, 37, said: "I would cry while I was doing the laundry or the dishes. I was definitely depressed. I was looking for something but not knowing what I was looking for.
"I made my avatar pretty quickly. I really put my personality into the character. I wasn't just a housewife anymore. I thought this is just amazing,
"It seemed like there were so many things that could happen in there. It felt like being re-born again. The possibilities were just endless."
It wasn't long before Carolyn met Ken, a man called Elliot who lives in London in real life.
She said: "I have been pretty open with my experiences. I don't tell them everything but I don't hide anything either. In the beginning my girls would say I was playing Barbie. "They couldn't understand I was changing my clothes and doing this and that and I would say it's just like Barbie.
"When they first started to realise I was hanging out with this one particular Ken I just said that's Barbie's boyfriend. They could relate to that."
Carolyn met Ken when he invited her to meet face to face on Second Life "I got an invitation to come see him and I just took it right away, " she said.
"I dropped down in front of him and said 'oh my god.' It was just like any other type of connection you would make with somebody.
"I enjoyed his presence. It's something that would make my heart beat a little faster, that made me curious to know what he was about, how he felt and what he thought.
"One time he said I'm going to take you out for diner. They felt like real dates. He was very open with me from the very beginning. I just beamed and I wanted more. I felt very special."
Carolyn's obsession left Lee and the children craving her attention. She told Lee her online boyfriend was no threat, but he wasn't convinced.
Lee said: "She would say Second Life had nothing to do with what was going on between us.
"One of the things she told me one time was 'I want to be able to do and see and experience things I can't while I'm married to you.'
"I love my wife. She is a beautiful woman, a little confused. The boys know but the girls are completely clueless. The boys are angry but of course they still love their mother.
"To have my 13-year-old son say to me if I wasn't born mum would be happier because then she could do what she wants is horrible."
His concerns didn't stop Carolyn getting closer and closer to Ken. "It kind of hit me before I realised exactly what was happening," said Carolyn.
" I just fell into it as though it was natural. Every once in a while I would peak with real emotion where I would miss him or need to talk to him or just want him to hold me.
"I thought if it feels good, it must be good and I'm just going to keep doing it."
In London, Elliot was experiencing the same emotions. He said "She was usually quite scantily clad. It was a bit different and I was quite attracted to that.
"She's a very open and honest person and I felt like I could talk to her about anything.
"I'm not one to hold back because I don't see the point in wasting time. I completely fell for her.'
Carolyn and Elliot even managed to find a way to have virtual sex on the site.
Carolyn said: "It's human nature to want that human touch. That will constantly eat at you.
"It's like having a cookie sitting right there. You can get so far, you can almost taste it, you can see how good it is but you can't get it and that's tormenting.
"Ninety-five percent of sex is in the brain so you can make it something really incredible.
I would keep him up until it was 6am his time."
Before long Elliot began putting pressure on Carolyn to move to the UK to be with him.
Carolyn said: "He was very insistent on how he wanted to have things so we would argue and fight.
"We would break up a lot. It was emotionally exhausting but just like any other relationship you have to forgive and forget."
Eventually Carolyn made the decision to visit Elliot despite husband Lee's feelings.
He said: "She'll say it's all role play. Role-play is one thing but where she took it wasn't role-play it was real.
"If she chooses to go and be with Elliot while we are still married that will be the day I cease to treat her as my wife. One thing is to chat or look at someone through a webcam but when you physically go and meet them that crosses the line.
" I don't know one man that would be okay with his wife sleeping around. I'm not stupid. When a guy meets a girl they're not going to crochet or trade baking secrets."
Carolyn's hopes and dreams of a whirlwind romance with Elliot came crashing down around her when she landed in England however.
Elliot refuses to show her affection and after a few days sightseeing she boards a flight home.
Elliot said: "I just decided it wasn't right. It's the same as in real life the first year or so you're together with someone it's all absolutely amazing but then it slows down.
"I think it's just a natural progression but for me it just slowed down a bit too much I think.
"Nothing has happened and nothing will happen so I think it's sort of an unsaid thing really on my part anyway. Apart from that it's just been like having a friend over for a holiday. It's been fun.
"I was in love with her but as in a lot of relationships things don't work out and that's what happened with us. I don't even know if we'll ever see each other again."
Carolyn said: "Most people wouldn't dare to open that Pandora's box but I have to go with what feels right.
"I had more hopes that it could be carried outside of Second Life. It was like finding a diamond in the store that you want so bad but could never afford and then the assistant puts it on your finger and says you can take it home for the weekend. It's better than nothing. I can't keep it but I can have it for a little while.
"I wish I could feel connected and in love back in my marriage again. If I could push a button that's what I would do.
"If you could just take everything that spoiled it and somehow turn it 180 degrees it would be great, but it's not that simple."
Lee is determined to get his marriage back on track and the couple are now giving family life another go.
He said: "No matter what happens to her she'll always have me."
Since meeting Carolyn in the flesh Elliot has started a relationship with a woman he met in real life. The couples were filmed for BBC 2 documentary Wonderland: Virtual Adultery and Cyberspace Love.

Love rat reveals on TV that he slept with his stepson’s ex
A love rat sprung a nasty surprise on his girlfriend by admitting he was two-timing her and had slept with his stepson's ex-girlfriend.
Peter Rosenfeld left girlfriend of six months Vera speechless when he made the admission on TV game show Nothing But the Truth. But the 45-year-old didn't stop there.
He went on to admit he'd had a homosexual experience in a massage parlor.
Rosenfield, from Chester, appeared on the Sky One show hosted by American chat show favourite Jerry Springer in hope of winning £5000 ($10,000).
He was hooked up to a lie detector and made to reveal his darkest secrets in front of a panel made up of his girlfriend, ex-wife, father, stepson, family and friends.
When asked "are you juggling several girlfriends including Vera?" Peter said: "We will talk after the show but I'm going to have to say yes."
He also admitted sleeping with one of stepson Karl's ex-girlfriends before his stepson got his revenge by asking "have you ever had a homosexual experience?"
Peter said: "It's a really difficult one to answer this one. The question is very black and white but the only experience I've had in my life was when I went for a job interview once and was actually conned into believing there was a job in a massage parlour in London.
"I was naïve and very young. I was only 19 or 20 years old. I didn't see what was going on."
Later the slimy love rat was asked 'could you be described as a bullsh***er?' to which he answered "of course, yes."
Rosenfield missed out on the jackpot when he lied that he was happy with the size of his manhood.

Max Baer’s girlfriend died after she shot herself in the chest
The girlfriend of Beverly Hillbillies star Max Baer died after she shot herself in the chest with a gun, cops have revealed.
According to police, 30-year-old Chere Rhodes committed suicide in the wake of "relationship problems" with her 70-year-old lover.
"They were having some relationship issues," Douglas County Sheriff's Sgt. Jim Halsey said.
"Whether the relationship was going to end or they were just having difficulties, I don't know," he added.
Baer called officers to his home in Zephyr Heights, California, on Thursday after finding Rhodes lying in the bedroom with a single gunshot wound to her chest.
The actor's girlfriend was flown by helicopter to Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno, where she was placed on a life support machine.
Her family turned the life support machine off on Sunday.
Sgt. Halsey said Rhodes was conscious when cops found her, and told the officers that she had shot herself.
"She was conscious on the scene and told [officers] that it was a self-attempted suicide," he said.
"There was a suicide note as well which substantiated her statement."
Halsey revealed a semi-automatic handgun was also found in the room.
Baer, an entrepreneur, rose to fame playing Jethro in the 1960s Beverly Hillbillies television series. He has lived in the Lake Tahoe area for years and is currently trying to build a hotel-casino in northern Douglas County.
The casino would include a signature oil derrick evoking the 'Hillbillies' sitcom theme of his dimwitted character Jethro Bodine.
Baer had a short-lived marriage to ex-wife Joanna Hill between 1970 and 1971.
He also previously dated actresses Christy Canyon, Sharon Tate and Victoria Principal.

Paul McCartney assures fans he is over his health scare
Rock legend Paul McCartney has assured fans he is over his health scare - insisting: "I feel great."
McCartney, 65, said he wanted to send a personal note to fans about his heart condition, saying: "So many friends have been concerned about my health."
But he proudly insisted: "I'm happy to say that I feel great and I have passed my most recent medical with flying colours."
The former Beatles' star downplayed the scare. "What happened was, over a year ago during a routine medical examination, there was a minor irregularity which I needed to have tests for and which I have now been assured is completely fine," he said on a message on his website.
He added: "I would like to thank all of you and my friends and relatives for your concern and I'm very happy to put your minds at rest, although I have secretly been enjoying all the sympathy I've been getting!"
He signs off with, "I look forward to a rocking 2008! Love, Paul."
The rocker writes in full:
"Hi everybody,
"Happy New Year!
"I hope it's a great one for all of us.
"There's been a lot of stuff in the newspapers over the past few months and as most of it is completely inaccurate, I have not bothered to deny any of it.
"There is one report though, that is causing concern amongst many friends of mine which was a recent report about a heart operation that I was supposed to have had.
"People are ringing and texting me saying "are you ok?" and I hadn't seen the report so I was puzzled by so many enquiries about my health.
"So I think it's a good time to put this rumour to rest. What happened was, over a year ago during a routine medical examination, there was a minor irregularity which I needed to have tests for and which I have now been assured is completely fine.
"The media have only just recently reported an exaggerated version of this and that is why people have been asking me if I am ok.
"So this is where the story has come from. The media reports have, as usual, completely distorted the story, calling it an angioplasty, which is entirely untrue, and this is why so many friends have been concerned about my health.
"I'm happy to say that I feel great and I have passed my most recent medical with flying colours.
"I would like to thank all of you and my friends and relatives for your concern and I'm very happy to put your minds at rest, although I have secretly been enjoying all the sympathy I've been getting!
"Once again, happy new year and rememberdon't believe everything you read in the media.
"I look forward to a rocking 2008!
"Love,
"Paul."

Heath Ledger’s cocaine supplier steps foward
A club owner has sensationally claimed that he used to supply cocaine to the tragic actor Heath Ledger.
American John-Bruce Shoemaker, 45, told a U.S. magazine that Heath was a heavy user of hard drugs while filming in Prague on two different occasions.
And he insisted: "I supplied him with cocaine and we did it together."
His explosive claims to the National Enquirer in the U.S. come as toxicology reports are still due to reveal if drugs played a part in the Brokeback Mountain star's death.
Prescription drugs were found around his body - and insiders have since insisted he had an ongoing battle with drugs including cocaine and even heroin.
Now shoemaker, who owned the Prague nightclub Marquis de Sade, insists he knows first-hand just how out of control a Heath's drug abuse became.
He insists the star once confided in him: 'If I'm not careful, this stuff will kill me.'
And Shoemaker has no doubts that it must have played a part in the star's death in his Manhattan apartment.
"I feel 100 percent certain that Heath's lifestyle was connected to his untimely death," he told the National Enquirer.
Shoemaker says he got to know Heath - and his party habits - while the star was in Prague on two occasions, in 2000 to film 'A Knight's Tale' and then 2003 for 'The Brothers Grimm'.
"Heath was in my club practically every night for months," he insists. "There were lots of beautiful girls in my club but he ignored them all. He was interested only in drugs."
Most alarmingly he says the passing years brought about a noticeable change in how hard he was using drugs - and also in his personality. "The first time, in 2000, he would snort about half-a-gram a day," shoemaker insisted.
"He was always funny, pleasant, and we all enjoyed his company.
"But when he came back the second time in 2003 he was a different man.
"He was up to one and two grams a day and he'd become unhappy and withdrawn."
He says that character change was most noticeable when the star would come in to DJ at his club. "He had his own collection of really good soul music," he said. "But if anyone asked him to play anything else, he would get almost violently angry."

Heath Ledger in shocking drugs party video
SHOCKING footage has emerged showing the tragic actor Heath Ledger partying with strangers at a drugs fueled Hollywood party.
In the video, which was shown on US shows The Insider and Entertainment Tonight, the 28-year-old 'Brokeback Mountain' star can be seen talking to the men, who are snorting cocaine.
The grainy footage was apparently shot at the Chateau Marmont hotel on January 2006, and Ledger can be heard talking to the men about his then-three-month-old daughter Matilda.
And while Ledger was partying, his then-girlfriend, 'Dawson's Creek' star Michelle Williams was upstairs with their baby Matilda in a separate room.
At one point, he can be heard saying: "I'm going to get serious s**t from my girlfriend. We had a baby three months ago
"I shouldn't be here at all."
Ledger - who was found dead in his New York City apartment on the afternoon of January 22 this year, cannot be seen taking drugs in the footage - the full uncut videotape is due to be aired on US TV today.
Meanwhile, a club owner has sensationally claimed that he used to supply cocaine to Ledger.

Britney Spears rushed to hospital on the orders of new psychiatrist
The latest saga of the Britney Spears tale took a new twist, as the troubled star was rushed to an LA hospital, reportedly on the orders of her new psychiatrist.
The Toxic star was taken from her Beverly Hills mansion in an ambulance today (31 January) shortly after 1a.m. to UCLA Medical Center, where she is believed to be on a 'mental health evaluation hold' on the orders of her psychiatrist.
Shortly before 1a.m., an ambulance, more than a dozen Los Angeles Police Department motorcycles and at least five LAPD squad cars entered Spears's gated residence, as the waiting paparazzi gathered outside.
Around 15 minutes later, Spears was taken off the property by ambulance through a side exit.
Britney's mum, Lynne Spears, on-off boyfriend Adnan Ghalib and close friend Sam Lutfi, followed the ambulance and the police units to the medical center.
Alli Sims, having turned up 10 minutes before the ambulance arrived, also trailed the police units.
It has been reported that Britney's psychiatrist, who works out of UCLA Medical Center, visited her earlier in the evening, and was alarmed at her reckless driving and her conduct, and felt her condition had deteriorated.
It is alleged that he decided Britney needed to be hospitalized on a 5150 hold, which would mean she would be considered a danger to herself and others.
A US website is reporting that during her 72-hour lockdown, Spears cannot be forced to take medication against her will, but if she refuses, her psychiatrist will go to an LA court and have the singer held for another 14 days, so he can make sure she gets the right treatment.
It is the second time this month Spears has been placed on a 5150 hold.
The first occurred on January 3 when Spears refused to give up custody of her sons, Sean Preston, 2, Jayden James, 1 to Kevin Federline.
On that night, the 26-year-old singer was strapped down on a stretcher, looking dazed and confused, before being loaded onto an ambulance and taken to Cedars-Sinai hospital.

Matt Lauer grills Dr. Phil about his involvement with Britney Spears
TV 'shrink' Dr. Phil McGraw was grilled by Matt Lauer on Wednesday's Today Show - and was asked a series of tough questions about his involvement with Britney Spears.
Dr. Phil insists that he did nothing wrong by visiting the troubled Toxic singer at Cedars-Sinai hospital on Jan. 5, two days after she was taken there for a psychological evaluation. He arrived just as she was checking out, but released a statement later saying, "My meeting with Britney leaves me convinced more than ever that she is in dire need of both medical and psychological intervention."
McGraw - who later came under fire for commenting on the singer's mental condition to the media, told Lauer, "If I had to do it over again, I probably wouldn't say a word."
McGraw defended criticism for joining the long line of people exploiting the 26-year-old pop wreck since the shocking incident. On Jan. 9, a rep for Britney's mom, Lynn, said, "The family basically extended an invitation of trust for himAny statements publicly that he made, because he was brought in under this cloak of trust, are just inappropriate."
The 57-year-old doctor - who shot to fame in 1998 following several appearances on The Oprah Winfrey Show, defended himself to Matt, saying, "If you notice in that statement I said not a word, not one syllable about anything that took place while I was there. Nor will I ever. I don't think that would be right. And I didn't say anything in the statement that I haven't said before and that anybody with common sense doesn't know." In the end, he added, "I certainly do not apologize for trying to help this family or this girl in trouble."

Lindsay Lohan’s “mystery man” is not her boyfriend
Despite reports to the contrary, the handsome mystery man Lindsay Lohan has been spotted with recently is NOT her new boyfriend.
The mystery man in question, Jeremy Greene - a singer/songwriter - has revealed the true story behind his relationship with the 'Mean Girls' star.
Greene - who's signed Interscope / Streamline Records - and managed by Jessica Simpson's dad, Joe Simpson, revealed: "Lindsay's sister Ali had been working with another singer/producer whom I had written some tracks for, and Lindsay's mom Dina liked my songs. So she reached out to me in early November and asked me if I wanted to come to their home in Long Island, New York to take part in the Lohan family reality series pilot they were shooting."
Jeremy - who splits his time between California and his home state of Maine, flew into New York from L.A. and shot some scenes with Dina, Ali and Lindsay's younger brother Cody. "Lindsay wasn't there," says Jeremy, "and I don't think her father Michael is involved," he added to America's Star magazine.
It wasn't until just before Christmas that Jeremy and Lindsay first met. "Dina [Lindsay's mom] invited me to stay over at the family home, so I flew in from Maine," Jeremy says. "Lindsay was there, and we immediately hit it off. I crashed at the family home that night in her older brother Michael's bedroom, since he was away at college."
Jeremy left the next day - but says that he and Lindsay have been talking "at least twice a week" since then.
He reveals: "I was in Maine on Jan. 27, when Lindsay called me and said, 'Let's get together. Why don't you come down to New York?' I flew in the next day and met her at her suite in Manhattan's Four Seasons Hotel.
"We went shopping early in the evening, just the two of us - but I stayed mostly in our SUV because the paparazzi were already onto her. And after we returned to the hotel, we ended up going out to dinner separately, because I just didn't want to get caught up in all the frenzy."
The 25-year-old met up with Lindsay again in her suite at 11 pm. "We chilled out together for about an hour, before I left to stay with a friend on Long Island," says Jeremy, who admits Lindsay was in a romantic mood that evening - but he insists: "I'm a gentleman and I'm not just gonna hook up with anyone like that."
Jeremy got a lift home to Maine on Jan. 29 - but now he's being swamped with press reports about his alleged love affair with the troubled actress, 21.
Setting the record straight, Jeremy says: "Lindsay is a good person who means well, and I love her family dearly. But sometimes she has a habit of losing touch with reality - and I'm not one of those typical guys who have tried to take advantage of her."

Britney Spears takes Adnan Ghalib for a spin in her new car
Popwreck Britney Spears is already clocking up the miles in her flash new car by taking paparazzo boyfriend Adnan Ghalib for a spin.
The Toxic singer spent the afternoon driving around aimlessly with the snapper in her smart black Mercedes SLK 350, which she reportedly paid $50,000 for in cash.
But the car must have been stinking of cigarette smoke after Adnan lit up in the passenger seat.
Britney had met up with Adnan at a local restaurant before whisking him off in her new motor.
It was recently revealed that the shutterbug has been hiding a secret first wife - a marriage even the bride's parents did not know about.
Birmingham born paparazzo Adnan is being divorced by current wife Azlynn Berry, 26, after watching him playing around with famous new love Britney Spears.
But now it has emerged he was actually secretly married before that - at the same time as he applied for a Green Card in the States.
Legal experts say that if he did not declare that he was divorced it could threaten the status of his residency - and get him kicked out of America. "He cold certainly get deported," said immigration lawyer Brad June.
News of the short-lived marriage has also stunned his first bride Chelsea Weinper's family. "I am in complete shock," Chelsea's dad Brad Weinper sad after being told the news.
"He had to have duped her into marrying him.
He added: "I didn't like him from the moment I laid eyes on him.
"I'm just glad I never knew about this marriage until now. I would have hated knowing I was his father in law."
Court papers show that Adnan, now 35, wed Chelsea in May 2001 in California.

Oprah Winfrey gets tubby bronze statue cast in her honour
Here's TV host Oprah Winfrey as you've never seen her before - as a nude bronze sculpture.
Controversial US artist Daniel Edwards has cast the presenter as a curvaceous goddess of fertility.
The artwork, The Oprah Sarcophagus, bears a striking resemblance to the coffin that housed the body of Egyptian boy king, Tutankhamun.
The 42-year-old New York artist says it pays homage to the closest thing America has to a living deity. His previous works include a sculpture of Britney Spears giving birth and one of Paris Hilton lying dead. He also famously created a bronze likeness of the first 'poop' done by Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes' daughter, Suri.

Michelle Williams’ rep blasts Heath Ledger rehab claims
Michelle Williams' rep has hit out at recent reports that the former 'Dawson's Creek' actress once forced her tragic ex-boyfriend Heath Ledger into rehab.
"Much of the tabloid reporting is inaccurate," Williams' rep Mara Buxbaum said. "This fabricated story of Michelle Williams attempting to bring Heath Ledger to rehab is just one lie among many. The speculation is heinous. Let this family grieve privately."
Ledger's alleged battle with drugs and booze reportedly affected his relationship with Williams so much - she drove him to rehab.
For three years Williams - who has a two-year-old daughter, Matilda with the late actor, was a firsthand witness to the Brokeback Mountain star's use of alcohol and drugs, including cocaine, heroin and "a variety of pills," a Ledger confidant told Us Weekly magazine.
In 2006 when Matilda was only five months old, Williams drove Ledger to Promises Treatment Center in Malibu, Calif., a source told Us Weekly magazine.
But Ledger refused to check into the rehab facility, and vowed to get clean himself
The couple split in September 2007, and various sources claim that Williams demanded Ledger be drug-tested before his visitations with Matilda.
Ledger was found dead in his New York apartment on January 22. He was 28.
His naked body was surrounded by open packages of prescription sleeping and anti-anxiety pills, police have said.
The cause of death has yet to be determined.

Jamie Lynn Spears should go and see Juno - according to the film's star Allison Janney.
"I think Mrs. Spears [Jamie Lynn's mom] should take both her daughters to see it. I think they'd both love that movie," Janney said at the BlackBerry Pearl Launch Party in New York Tuesday night.
In the Oscar-nominated teen flick, Janney, 48, plays mom to a sharp-tongued teenage girl confronting an unplanned pregnancy - played by Ellen Page.
Some have drawn comparisons between the comedy and Jamie Lynn Spears' life since the Zoey 101 star announced last December that she is expecting her first child at 16.
"Juno has a great dialogue for parents and kids because it really doesn't politicize the issue," Janney adds to Us Weekly magazine. "It's not pro-life, it's not pro-choice; it's pro-individual It's [about] having a supportive family who listens."
Since announcing her pregnancy, Britney Spears' younger sister — who has been spotted with a GED book — has been "on hiatus," her publicist told the Associated Press on Monday, even as the fourth season of her hit Nickelodeon show Zoey 101 begins.

Britney Spears’ paparazzo boyfriend has been hiding a secret first wife
Britney Spears' boyfriend Adnan Ghalib has been hiding a secret first wife - a marriage even the bride's parents did not know about.
Birmingham born paparazzo Adnan is being divorced by current wife Azlynn Berry, 26, after watching him playing around with famous new love Britney Spears.
But now it has emerged he was actually secretly married before that - at the same time as he applied for a Green Card in the States.
Now legal experts say that if he did not declare that he was divorced it could threaten the status of his residency - and get him kicked out of America.
But they filed for divorce just six months later, claiming they had separated after just 85 days with the divorce finalized in July 2001.
Legal experts say that if he did not declare the divorce when he applied for his Green Card it could still affect his rights to live in the States.
"After a person marries an American citizen, it takes more than a couple of months to process a U.S. residency request," said immigration lawyer Brad June.
"If the government granted residency after this couple divorced, and if this gentleman had not revealed he was divorced - then he could certainly be deported."
The expert says that even though he married a second time, yet again to be American, it makes no difference.
"Whether or not he got married again is irrelevant," Brad June insisted.
"If there are legal inconsistencies with his time in the United States, this could lead to a deportation."
Chelsea's dad says his daughter met Adnan while she was on holiday in Europe, and he followed her back to America.
"I knew Chelsea was dating Adnan, but there's no way she was in love with him," Mr Weinper insists. "He had to have duped her into marrying him.
"I didn't like him from the moment I laid eyes on him - and if he tricked my daughter into marrying him for a green card, then that just shows us what type of person he is."
